"Perfect for two couples! Only a few minute drive to Whiteface mountain. The home had everything you would need and was comfortable in every aspect. My only complaint would be the spotty Wi-Fi, but that just gave us more time to enjoy the very well maintained hot tub and beautiful view outside. I would 100% recommend to any friend! "

"We have family in the area and are so happy to have found Esther Cabin to stay at.It was clean, sufficiently stocked, bed comfortable and the location is perfect. Booking was easy. Check in and out was easy and stress free. Communication streamlined and responsive. Property is well maintained and cared for. It snowed while there and early morning there was someone there to clean up the lot and walkways.Lake Placid is 15 min away with good day drinking spots, shopping, restaurants, family activities and Olympic history. Skied whiteface which is 3 min down the road, hiking, snowshoeing and exploring abounds. I can’t wait to return during seasons other than winter to kayak and hike. In warmer weather the covered porch and fire pit would be well used and enjoyed. We will return and have found our home base away from home. TY for sharing your home with us. "

"Overall this was a nice place with a great location close to Whiteface mountain for skiing. One thing to note about the separate suites that I didn’t realize when booking is that 1 suite is not connected to the main living area/ kitchen from the inside. During the winter this was not ideal with all the snow you have to walk around the whole building to access. "

"I booked the Spruce Room, which has extremely dated pictures online. There have been years of use when you actually view the place. The kitchen has stains and marked up tiles, bathroom is barely clean with black mold in the back of toilet. All 4 of our beds had dirty linens and since there is no on-site manager, they had us raid the emergency shed and hopefully retrieve extra sheets. These sheets were all unusable. They reeked of mildew. Our family had nowhere to sleep that night, so we had to emergency book a hotel 30 minutes away. Beware of the accuracy of the pictures!!!!!!!"
