We were in town for a wedding and it was our first time staying at a hotel in Roanoke. We’ll definitely be booking here again. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. It appears the hotel is undergoing some renovations, so I’m sure it will be even better once the work is complete. The location is excellent, with coffee shops nearby and plenty of convenient parking. The staff was warm and welcoming, and we were even offered complimentary cold bottled water as soon as we checked in. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

This is a brand new hotel and they are still completing the restaurant. Our room was very comfortable with very high ceilings and celestory windows. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to restaurants and other attractions.

It is a lovely hotel. The room was new and well-appointed with some of the old bank building charm. It's upscale while being quaint and comfortable. We were on the 4th floor. The room had amazing upper windows. Very cool! The staff was lovely. Very accommodating and friendly. The location is ideal, right in the middle of town. We were very happy to stumble upon the Promissory Hotel!

Beautiful new hotel. Great location central to all things downtown. Our concierge at check in was amazing and the champagne was perfect. We were upgraded to a suite for our stay and it was a beautiful room, lots of room to move around and the bar area really worked for us.

I love reading reviews while traveling to help me choose a place to stay in a new town - this is a new hotel in an old building and the rooms are gorgeous and felt new. Great smelling soaps and lotions. Still doing some construction and final touches but that didn’t affect our stay. If you are reading this- book it!
