Staff was very friendly and very accommodating for a last minute decision to stay and unsure if I would need to stay another night due to a road closing and undetermined reopening. The staff tried to help me figure the status of the road closing keeping me from my home. Very kind”

“Clean, comfortable and affordable room with nice shower! Bri met us with a smile and showed us around the place. We were not able to use the cute fire-pit area or tiki bar due to inclement weather, but I'm sure it's a hit on nice evenings. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the main house. Rooms come with a fridge which is great if you go out to eat and have leftovers. Centrally located on the island. ”

“I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. “The room was spotless. However, they were doing renovations in the hallways. Not a big deal for me. The deck looking out over the water was amazing. Location was great with a good restaurant across the street. The staff was very friendly, and even though there were many guests in this particular building, it was very quiet.”

“The property is convenient to the beach, has plenty of parking, has a gym, pool and laundry room as well. The carpet on the halls smells and s stained and could use a good professional cleaning. Rooms are comfortable and have a kitchenettes. It was nice to have a fridge. Great staff. ”

“Slightly irritated that the key card didn’t work when I checked in late on a cold night. Had to walk back to check-in and get them recoded. Breakfast was disappointing- very limited and tasteless. Dining room was very small and crowded. Loved the balcony and comfy mattress. ”
