Villa del Playa #4 offers the perfect island space for your family or group of friends. Imagine waking up to hear tropical birds singing and the island waking up around you. Boat engines start in the distance, a distant neighbor's voice carries along the calm water…another day in paradise begins.

Slide your glass doors open onto your large second-floor balcony to enjoy your cup of coffee overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The morning shades of blue are so different from those of the afternoon. See how many different colors you can count as the waters mesmerize and amaze you!

Maybe you want nothing more than to lounge in the sand all day, steps from the tranquil seas lapping the soft sand.

Or maybe you'll be diving 60 feet down to explore Roatan's famous barrier reef, smiling as green turtles cruise by to munch on another coral head nearby.

Or maybe you'll take one of our kayaks out every day to explore a different part of the coral reef with your snorkel gear. The reef is just offshore here and easily accessible. It's also so shallow in most places that you can bob at the surface and feel like parrotfish are nearly nibbling on your fins!

After a day enjoying all that the island has to offer, you can retreat to this beautifully peaceful condo. Enjoy a dip in the beachfront plunge pool and then relax on your balcony with a cold cocktail at sunset.

You can choose to cook dinner every night with the high-end appliances and fully stocked kitchen provided or walk to any of West End's diverse restaurants in just a few minutes. The entire Villas Del Playa complex has filtered and potable water throughout so you can vacation with the peace of mind that your water and ice is nice and clean.

You don't have to leave Villa del Playa during your stay unless you want to...

But we can promise that leaving at the end of your vacation will be a challenge!

Hidden Gem of Paradise

My new favorite Roatan condo! I cannot say enough good things about this place but as long as guests treat it properly it will remain a hidden diamond. It is a little ways back from the main road which keeps most people away and the beach is just 50 feet from the bottom steps of the pool patio. The condos are super clean and more than well equipped with all of the utensils, usual cooking spices, dishes, drink mixing tools, coffee makers, ice maker, etc. than you could ever hope for. All you need to bring is a positive vibe, the food and drinks you want and your swim suit. Superb shout out to Jason, the onsite keeper. Very helpful, very friendly, full of information and tips for the best possible time. One thing I didn't do but wish I had is to read the activity materials better and communicate with them more ahead of time as I think we would have been better organized. and planned to do more.

Excellent stay, perfect location

We were two couples (divers), an infant, and my mom. This place was absolutely perfect. We walked down to the West End to dive every day, and my mom either stayed to enjoy the secluded beach and pool or would walk down the beach to explore West End with the baby. In the afternoons we would go explore the island. The condo is better than the pictures. There is AC and an ice maker, they also have a water filter so you can drink the water which was convenient. They also have kayaks and life jackets you can use. The location was perfect- you feel secluded and private, but the West End is just a 10 minute walk down the beach. It was so nice to walk down to dinner as a group, or we could split off on our own and walk back easily. I always felt very safe, and we rented a car that we parked there. The rental company was easy to work with and let us in early and leave late. I would stay here again in a heartbeat- this is also a great spot even with no kids. We dove with Reef Gliders- highly recommend their company. Awesome guides and great set up on the water for the surface intervals, and my mom would walk down with the baby to say hi and hang out with us on the waterfront porch.

Family Vacay in Roatan

Check in was a little rough. Our plane was delayed and our driver took us directly to the condo instead of stopping by the management office. I reached out to Liz at the management office for help, and she reprimanded me for being late (despite this being out of our control). Then she informed me that she was out "running errands" because we were late so we would need to wait outside the condo until she returned to the office to give us the code to enter the condo. Overall we had a great stay! Beautiful ocean views. Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen. We were disappointed that the kayaks were in bad repair - none had functional seats. Our room safe did not work. I contacted Liz in the management office who was not helpful. She finally had the onset maintenance person bring us batteries but told us not to use the safe because our items may become locked in the safe. We had brought a significant amount of cash since this is the preferred method of payment on the island. When we left the condo for the day, we did place our valuables in the safe since we were not comfortable leaving a significant amount of cash and our computer and cell phones lying around a condo. We returned to find our items stuck in the safe - we called Liz and texted her on whatsapp without a response. I was able to get Jimmie's number from a neighbor at the condo and he had someone come by in the morning to take care of the problem. When Liz finally returned my messages, she was snarky .

Great Family Home, Wonderful Location

I spent a week at this beautiful villa with my husband and two children (ages 4 and 7) and we absolutely loved it! The property managers set up a shuttle to pick us up at the airport and also to the grocery store before heading to the house. Being steps away from the water and having access to the pool were wonderful! The kids lived in the water. They enjoyed jumping off the dock and we were able to see several fish while snorkeling right by the dock. We were able to wave down a water taxi right from the dock to go to West Bay and also straight to Gumbalimba Park. The house itself was very spacious. The beds were comfortable and the A/C was an absolute must. Nice kitchen and appliances. Huge closets to put your clothing in. The kids really enjoyed the big tub in the master bath. Overall our favorite part of the house was the patio. Beautiful sunsets, spacious and just a great place to hang out. The location was superb! Never have been to Roatan, this location was great for seeing and doing a lot of things that were nearby. A few times we walked down to Luna Bean to have coffee and breakfast. It was such a cute place and the food/coffee was delicious! We also had lunch one day at the Luna Beach resort restaurant and was also yummy with beautiful views. The walk to East End was fairly easy. We enjoyed walking there in the mornings and evening when it was cooler. Several shops and restaurants. Overall, we highly recommend this property to families and anyone visiting Roatan.

A Lovely appartment just outside the West End

This is a very comfortable, well-equipped oceanside condo -- overlooking the water, in close proximity to West End. Management was very responsive and set us up with a reasonable rental car too. highly recommended.

This property is perfection, everything you need & 5 min walk to town. Private beach & pool. Fantastic snorkeling directly in front. All the Beds were super comfortable. Very easy to keep in contact with Roatan Vacation Rentals, a dream to work with. 6 women highly recommend!!

Best Location in West End

The condo at Villa de Playa was the perfect location for our trip to Roatan; it was right on a gorgeous beach, very short walk to the dive shops, restaurants, and convenience stores in West End but just far enough away to avoid the noise and hustle and bustle which made us feel we had our own private spot. The condo itself was super clean with plenty of room and a well equipped kitchen, although we only ate breakfast in the room as there were so many great restaurants to try that we ate lunch and dinner in West End every day for a week and never ate at the same place twice (and we still need to go back to try more of the restaurants that we didn’t get to!) And we will definitely go back. Liz at Roatan Vacation Rentals arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport. He brought us to the main office for check-in which was very smooth and informative in terms of activities we could do and places to see which they can have their concierge arrange for you. Then off to the condo where Eldin met us and showed us to our room. He is the caretaker, super nice guy and makes sure that the grounds are clean and takes care of anything you may need while you are there. We enjoyed the kayaks, great walks on the beach, swims in the crystal clear water and drinks and conversation with other travelers staying at Villas de Playa right from the condo. For scuba divers, it is amazing and you only need to walk 5 minutes to find multiple well equipped dive operations. We hate to say too much great stuff about West End and the perfect location and accommodations of Villas de Playa (comfortable beds, living room, kitchen, great patio or balcony, dipping pool, gorgeous ocean and sunset views, cable, wifi (albeit spotty at times), because if we say too much everyone will want to go there and it won’t be available for us next time! So shhh…. We found a really special spot.

Great sunset views and quick walk to West End

Very Nice! Well maintained and stocked villa, cold a/c, 19 min walk to the West End restaurants and scuba dive shops. We were happy with West End Divers. Internet was good and the beds comfortable. Bring some extra soap and shampoo! Great customer service, easy check in and they will provide airport transfer service if requested. Great snorkeling just offshore at Blue Channel and its a quick paddle on the kayaks. I would recommend this villa to a friend!

Beautiful view, convenient location

We stayed in Unit 4 which is 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The view and beach access is incredible, but the condo is also very clean and updated. The appliances and A/C work really well. Having a quality washer, dryer and dishwasher was great for our family. Staff is helpful and easy to get in touch with. The grounds keeper keeps the pool and beach area very clean. Overnight security guard made us feel safe. Condo is very quiet, we couldn't hear anyone above, below or beside us. Actually the walls were so thick we had trouble finding a place our baby monitor would work. Location is great because it is walking distance to great West End restaurants and bars. The condo description states beach towels are not included - Unit #4 had at least 6 beach towels labeled specifically for unit 4. The pool is nice but is small and has an unsafe gap for young kids, so for many reasons we were close by our kids at all times around the pool. Be sure to pack bug spray. A lot of places we have stayed do not have hand soap, dish soap or cleaning products - this condo had all of the above as well as travel-sized toiletries. Our only complaint had nothing to do with the unit - just something to be aware of when traveling to Roatan- the power occasionally goes off around the whole island. It seems that it generally lasts 1-2 hours. There was no generator at Villas del Playa so be prepared if you have things that need power 24/7 (for example refrigerated medication).

PRETTY AWESOME

We just got back from our stay in Roatan and can't wait to book this Villa again. The location is perfect. A bit of jungle on both sides, we saw Scarlet Macaws about three days out of our seven, but close enough to West End that you can be be at the convenience store in about 5 or 7 minutes. The shops and restaurants of West End and Half Moon Bay are less than a 10 minute walk....and we felt very safe walking. The unit was lovely, very clean with reasonable wear and tear. Every thing we needed was provided. My daughter could not get enough of the roof top pool and my husband and I greatly enjoyed watching the world go by from the top deck. There is staff there both day (Eldin, gardener...and Security ..forgot his name) at night...both these guys were polite, helpful and hard working. Can't get over how polite, friendly and helpful everyone in Roatan was. This was a great location for us and for the price was perfect for our needs. I highly recommend a stay. Like I said...we will be back.

Loved the location. Not luxury, but very nice and priced appropriately.

This condo was on the second floor, and had spectacular views of the ocean, and a dock that our dive boat drove right up to for pick up. The main floor units walked out onto the pool. The top floor units were two levels with a rooftop area, so the only disadvantage of the second floor is that you didn't have a sunny deck or seating for six outside. There were only six chaises around the pool below, and the families on the main floor occupied them most of the time, so it didn't work out well to have a place to hang outside together. The pool was warm and clean. There was a security guard there from 6pm-6am who was very nice, although we felt quite safe and walked to and from the town easily at night. The condo is at the end of the West End road, and it was an easy walk to get to restaurants via the beach. You don't need a car, except to get groceries from Eldon's near the airport. The convenience stores in town are very poorly stocked and I was surprised not to find more fresh fruit and vege stands. We like to have breakfast at the condo, as well as snacks and drinks. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and such, but nothing like salt and pepper. There was a moldy smell in the condo, which was a little off-putting and even the towels smelled moldy, but it was otherwise clean. There were a few things that needed attention, like the screen doors, which were bent and not sliding and with a lot of noseeums, we had issues with bugs. I only mentioned the problem the day before we left, but there was no acknowledgement of my recommendation to have them fixed. The two kayaks also had broken seats and missing straps, but we enjoyed taking them out every day for an early morning or sunset paddle. We had never been to Roatan before, but felt we made a good choice with this condo and would recommend it, despite the deficiencies that could easily be fixed.

Great place in Roatan

This is a pretty nice place for Roatan. It is right on the beach, and the beach is ok. It is about a 5 minute walk to West End. The place was clean. Nice to have laundry. Wifi worked well. The staff was good. Taxis were on time and reliable. Overall good!

Perfect Beach Condo!

From booking to departure this condo and management company were great to work with! A wonderful man, Frankie picked us up from the airport and our vacation really started. He was very informative about Roatan and as we drove to the condo, he stopped to introduced us to the gentleman we had been told to contact for our fishing trip! As for the condo, it couldn't have been more perfect for us! It was just wonderful, very nice, open and spacious, which allowed for us to entertain the friends we made, who were also staying in another condo! It was nice to have a well stocked kitchen, when you travel with 2 chefs in your party! The entire complex was just beautiful! Eldin, who takes care of the property all day, everyday keeps it up like a 5 star hotel! He was awesome! He was always there to help with anything from preparing the kayaks for us to pull right into the water to saving the crab from the pool! One of the best parts of having stayed in the condo was the access to West End Divers dive shop and the fantastic restraurants within a 2-8 minute beachwalk! We did rent a car which allowed us to run to the grocery and explore outside areas of West End, but there are lots of taxis to grab, should you opt not to rent a car! We are already planning our trip for next year to return to Roatan and will definitely stay again in this condo!

Overall an excellent place to stay

We stayed in the penthouse and it was all that we thought it would be. We loved the location and the quiet, the road was a little "bumpy" getting there as it is dirt and a lot of potholes. Everything else was wonderful. The excellent views of the sea, to the private pool on the top deck with the bar and table to eat at up there. We loved our stay. We had an issue with the safe and when we called the real estate office they had someone there within a half hour. The property was located within walking distance to West End and you could catch a water taxi to West Bay. We truly had no complaints at all and would recommend staying at this location.
