We liked how it was away from the noise of West Bay, but still on the beach and a few minute walk to small stores and restaurants. Breakfast was good and fresh. Great cocktails at the bar and yummy food at the restaurant. The pool is very shallow - suitable for young children. This is a laid back place with everything you need- not a fancy 5 star resort. “This is great value. The hotel isn't very big but with the Placita (the small square) just outside, and the pool and beach just across the small parking lot, it was very conveniently located. I had no issues whatsoever. The rooms were nice and clean and comfortable. There are events in the evening in the Placita, so if you go to bed before 9pm and you're sensitive to noise, you may want a more isolated place. “Overall, the resort is beautiful. I’m not sure if it’s just the culture or if the staff needs additional training in responding to guest requests in a timely fashion. Service at breakfast was exceptionally slow. The wait staff didn’t always understand English. The menu listed that eggs could be made to order however, it didn’t matter how we ordered them they always came scrambled. The espresso machine was broken our entire stay. The cleanliness our unit was just OK. Housekeeping only came once……
