「Exactly as described. It’s in a beautiful location at the north end of the island so it’s very calm and secluded. The views of the water from the back yard are great. We saw several river otters and other wildlife. The jacuzzi is a definite plus. The house itself is cozy and feels like it’s actually a home, and unlike many vacation rentals it includes plenty of space - and actual dressers! -to put clothes away. It was a perfect base for exploring the island. 」

I was charmed by the transparency in the property's description of the orange counters and the narrow staircase, and hopeful when I read the reviews mentioning the wildlife spotted from the deck. One reviewer complained about the smell, which worried me a bit. There IS a distinctive smell, but it just made us think of going to our grandparents' cabins as children. I think it's just a smell to be expected in any old, wooden cabin. It wasn't offputting to us...

「The units are either new or just renovated. Still has the new smell. Very clean and awesome setup! Super comfy beds. We have a family of four and it was perfect for us. Super convenient. Don’t let the “no parking spot” scare you. We always found a daytime spot right out front, and an overnight spot just a couple blocks away. We stayed four nights and had an amazing time! 」

「Great location on Mud Bay, this is the second time my family has stayed at this house. So tranquil but also close to dock access. No wifi which may be a plus if you’re really trying to disconnect!」

「The photos make it look incredible, but it was even better than we ever could have hoped. We were 14 family members, ages 1-74 and there were 2 rowboats, and 8 kayaks! Perfection! The pool was super, and this elegant house being right on the water made for wonderful sightings of seabirds, seals, and incomparable sailboats and yachts. We really enjoyed the corn hole and all the games they had available too. We cooked all our meals in and the BBQ and kitchen were well stocked. We only...

「We have an annual scooter trip to the islands and first time at Orcas. This is a wonderful location, though there is one spot on the way up to the house that's peculiar, seems to be a hoarder. Neighbors are quiet, and the view and overall vibe are A. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but was perfect for us as we unloaded the scooters and didn't have to adjust the parking at all during our stay. The host Tina is exceptional- highly attentive and accommodating. Would stay again!」

「This is a beautiful cottage stocked with every amenity you might need. Plenty of extra linens, paper products, basic toiletries, etc that are not always provided but that make vacation so much more stress free. John made the entire process, from check-in throughout our entire stay, so seamless, and he made it clear that he was available day or night for any issues that might arise. Definitely one of our best rental experiences ever! If we return to Orcas Island, we will definitely be returning...
