Tulip Festival

Rockford wasn’t too far from the tulip Festival in Holland, plus we discovered that the Rockford downtown area was charming. Also convenient to the Frederick Meijer Flower and Sculpture Garden. The accommodations were very basic but satisfactory.

There were a lot of extras supplied by the host. They had toys in the laundry area, along with games and puzzles that my grandkids could play. They also supplied soaps, shampoo, etc, which I will have to keep in mind for the next time. Less to pack! Rockford unfortunately experienced 10 inches of snow, and with our early checkout, we had to shovel out. But we got a 50 dollar reimbursement, which was very kind. With all the extras, I would suggest labels on the cabinets and their content. I ended up getting some things that were not necessary, but we left them there! I would stay again.

Enjoying family

My overall stay was good. I had an upstairs unit and my sister had the downstairs unit. Mitten did a great job communicating via email. Upon entering my unit it smelled like animals had been in the unit. I emailed Mitten and was informed it hadn't been any animals in the unit lately. So I told them it might be the carpet. The couches fabric was nasty. Meanwhile, the unit looks just like the pictures. It's two driveways so the garages shows which unit where to park. I left and came back and it was a pickup truck in my spot. I knocked on the other two doors in the building. The couple downstairs said they parked by their letter. I knocked on the upstairs unit but no answer. Early the next morning someone was knocking on the door hard and woke me up. It was the guy across the hall asking me to move my car. Once I got outside I informed him that I knocked on his door last night to move his car. He said I was tired. I informed him that the garages have the letters of the unit to show where you should park. He said the letters don't matter and said I can park on the grass so he will be able to get in and out. I said no we will be here for a few days and I am going to park here so it's best if you park in your spot so we don't have to disturb each other. He said he will park on street until we leave. Smh. Overall, we needed a place to stay and this place was okay. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your property.
