Charming apartment in the heart of Rome’s Ponte neighborhood—surrounded by great restaurants, cafés, bars, and shops. The location is fantastic, with major sights within walking distance and easy taxi access. The apartment is cute, functional, and well-equipped with a full kitchen. Our late check-in was smooth, thanks to the accommodating host. Just a heads-up: it’s on the 4th floor with no elevator, so carrying luggage up can be a challenge—especially for families. Also, water pressure is spotty at times, which is expected in older Roman buildings.
Overall, a lovely stay—best suited for light travelers or younger guests.
It was pretty good. The neighbourhood was so charming. Great little eateries so close! The check in was a little tough as the street signs aren’t very apparent. Best thing to do is get very detailed directions from Domizio managers. They were very helpful. The place is charming…the A/C is ok but not fantastic. I strongly recommend you turn off ALL lights…especially the stove lights as they heat up the apartment a great deal. I wish we could stay here again. It’s a great little place! Thanks so much Lucrezia and colleagues!
We were very pleased with this unit. Hard to beat the location and the proximity to local shops and restaurants in the area. The host was able to meet us at our check-in time and showed us the property details which was helpful, even allowing us to drop off our bags while the unit was being cleaned.Beds were comfortable enough and everything in the unit seems to function as expected. I definitely recommend this location and would stay again on a return visit.
When I made this reservation, I didn’t fully appreciate what a wonderful location it was, just off a charming street filled with restaurants and shops. (But tucked away and high enough to be very quiet.) From there, nearly everything is a brief walk. The flat itself is a great combination of charming old building that’s been newly renovated. Also good to know in the middle of Rome summer, the ac works well.

Cozy, comfortable apartment in Rome
This was an ideal location for us - a little bit out of the main crush on a quiet side street, but really close to everything we wanted to visit. You have to be okay with walking up the stairs to the top floor of the house, but the views and apartment are great. A kind of oasis in the midst of walking on the busy and crowded streets and sites of Rome. Gelato del Teatro around the corner is not to be missed - unanimous favorite of all of the gelaterie we ate at throughout Italy.
The flat was exactly as I had hoped it would be. Absolutely perfect location (couldn’t have asked for a better place) as it was close to everything you could have needed and or wanted. Very close to water fountains for refilling, amazing restaurants (highly recommend Guilin Passami L’Olio - we went three times!!), walking distance to the Vatican and Trevi and Pantheon, etc.
The flat had basic amenities but we did have to buy our own paper towels and additional toilet paper. AC was great and cooled down the space quite well. The beds were quite comfortable which helped after a long day.
Alice, our point of contact, was great and very helpful and answered all our questions whenever I had one.
I would 100% stay here again.
Honestly, I would rate this a 4.5 stars if I were able to. The location is fantastic. You can get to almost anywhere in Rome in under 30 minutes walking. We found some great restaurants in the neighborhood and absolutely loved the area. The only reason I am downgrading it just a touch is for two reasons. First, you have to understand that there are many levels of steps to climb to get to the apartment. If you have any mobility issues or are unsteady on your feet, or even aren't in the best shape, the steps might be a challenge for you. There were definitely a couple of nights where we relied on the handrail more after a long day exploring Rome :-)The second is pretty minor and not really an issue with the apartment per se. We stayed at the end of July and it was particularly hot in Rome when we were there. The first day we were there it took the wall mounted AC unit a while to cool things down to make it more comfortable. By the second day, we were pretty good to go. So keep in mind that if you are unused to the extreme Rome, heat and humidity in the middle of the summer, you'll just need to give it some time to cool off so it's more comfortable. A decent sized fan for the apartment would have definitely helped with sleep the first night. All in all, a very nice day and would recommend.

Disliked: Check-in, communication
Poor communication
I received an email communication stating what the expectations were in terms of the check-in process. The email also stated a driver could meet us at the airport upon request. I requested a driver and was told that's not a service they are currently offering. I was given two numbers of people to call to meet us at the property for check-in. The first number did not work . We called the second number and they agreed to meet us in an hour. They were an hour late and very difficult to get in touch with after that first phone call. We had no idea if we were in the correct location and tried calling them to confirm that we were. Since they were so late and without the courtesy of letting us know we stressed that we were in the wrong place. We were not in the wrong place. They were just late. By an hour.
Our family spent a few nights in this property at the outset of our vacation. The property was good overall but very basic. There was a lack of overall supplies that we have become accustomed to at other VRBOs we have rented. Paper towels, hand towels, dish towels, hand soaps etc. were lacking. We worried about running out of toilet paper for our two-night stay. A little more would have gone a long way.
The hot water in the shower was only warm at best, and the AC took the edge off the heat but didn't cool the unit as one would normally expect. (Outside temperatures were in the mid-30s C in fairness) There was a laundry machine but no dryer which precluded us from doing laundry.
The check-in process was manual and we had to wait 15 minutes outside to meet a property representative, but they were very helpful and nice when they arrived. Automation would be nice but likely very difficult given the age and nature of the building. The stairs to the unit were difficult with luggage, I would not recommend it for someone with limited fitness although the unit's representative was more than happy to assist. The pullout couch could be replaced with something a bit more comfortable.
The location was excellent and the unit served our needs while in Rome. A few little extras from the host would go a long way. This unit is ultimately a question of value and price. If it's price competitive for basic accommodations then it may be a good option.
Très belle endroit petit mais très bien située, proche de tout, mais des marche à monter il manque l’ascenseur.

Lovely Apartment in the center of Rome
My family had an amazing time in Rome. The location of this apartment was perfect. Almost centered between the Vatican and the Trevi Fountain made this so easy for us to walk from place to place. The only negative would have to be that there are alot of steps to make it to the apartment but then again that is what gives its views on the balcony of the rooftops. When in Rome expect to do alot of walking anyway! Highly recommend.
Fantastic location with shopping, restaurants and central to the attractions that Rome has to offer. The stairs are a bit of an issue. No elevator and 3 to 4 floors to climb, if you're for its fine.
