「Although by no means 'fancy' digs, the house and its furnishings were perfectly comfortable and ideal for our group of six. It was a 5-8 min walk to the center of town, so convenient to all activities. We didn't do any cooking so can't speak to the adequacy of the kitchen furnishings, but you do need to provide your own coffee. Simple, reasonably priced accommodations in a beautiful location.」

「Overall, we had a great stay. The house is clean and in a great location — about halfway between Eastsound and Moran state park. We appreciated the fenced backyard for our dogs. Only negative was that there isn’t a ton of seating in the living room (one couch and a few papasan chairs that were low to the ground), which might be something to consider if you’re coming with more than 2 adults (kids probably wouldn’t mind the papasan chairs as much).」

「Had a wonderful time over Memorial Day weekend, despite the cold and rainy weather. The beds were super comfortable. We did not want for anything. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked, which was super helpful since we cooked all our meals at the house. Great attention to detail with the ammenities in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Even had two bald eagles hang out in the trees surrounding the deck for a bit.」

The views were lovely and our stay hit the “we need a relaxing getaway” spot! The house was very clean and very comfortable - it felt like a home away from home!」

「Beach access, otters, eagles and friendly people all around. House is older but fit us well. Plenty of space to fit 6-8 people comfortably. Nice selection of towels and plenty of pillows and blankets. Bring garage bags, foil or parchment paper if you are planning on being at the house and cooking. 」

「This house is perfect for a couple or family. Two bedrooms with queen beds and the softest sheets and comforter. A full sized kitchen and family, facing the bay. A beautiful deck with bbq and comfortable seating. There’s a separate structure/studio which has a queen sized bed and heated flooring. The grounds are beautifully kept with extra sitting areas. Highly recommend, will go back again!」

「My partner and I stayed at the peaceful Island retreat for two nights. It was a perfect, secluded spot for a quiet island getaway. The house was well appointed and comfortable and communication with the host was seamless.」

「Charming clean cottage, with its own private beach across the street, in the quiet town of Birch Bay. The cottage has lots of windows facing the beautiful view of the bay, a small propane fireplace to keep you cozy on colder days, and is in walking distance of dining and shopping. 」

「We absolutely loved our stay in this very welcoming home. All the personal touches were welcomed and we so loved the amount of light from all the wonderful windows and skylights. It is located in a perfect area of Orcas Island and has everything you need to cook, visit, relax and sleep. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Note that the bathrooms and bedrooms are all upstairs so if stairs are an issue, we would not recommend this home. We would definitely...
