"We stayed a few nights in Warders Cottages and one night in the newer Garde Hotel - the rooms are very different but both high quality and nice touches such as still & sparkling water on tap and a free mini bar selection.
If you like character then go for the cottages as the room in the main hotel could have been anywhere. The only complaint/suggestion would be to have some sort of sheer blind etc in the Warders Cottage room as people can see into your room from the street so you end up getting dressed with the curtains closed! Apart from that all was great - and Emily Taylor their restaurant is definitely worth a visit!
(By the way, just in case you aren't aware this hotel is not in Central Perth, Freo is about a half hour easy train ride away.)"
"Was charged $42 for a bottle of wine that I nor my colleague definitely did not order (am still waiting for a response regarding this 5-days later). When I checked into my room there was a cot setup which I did not request and the ‘king’ bed was two single beds pushed together where the noticeable join in the middle was easily felt."
"We really enjoyed our stay. Spacious, clean and modern room. The staff were very kind and professional. Only thing I would have changed was the mattress was a bit hard and uncomfortable. "
"The tents are beautiful and specious inside. Bed was quite comfy as were the pillows. You can open the zips/windows on the tent to let the airflow through and there is a fan to keep it cool. As its on the beach is is windy and was nice a cool at night anyway.
Bathroom is specious with two sinks and a large shower.
The only things we didn't love were the fact there is no door on the bathroom and there is only a glass door for the toilet with a large opening/gap at the top so if you need use the toilet, there is absolutely no privacy. Also the shower heads need replacing on the bathroom. The main shower/rainfall head is ok, but the spray hose is rusted and falling apart. There was also a bit of grime in the corners on the shower.
The kitchenette is great. Has a sink, mini fridge, pod coffee machine, microwave, kettle, washing up equipment, a small milk and water in the fridge, a variety of tea and coffee.
It's also quite noisy with many families and young kids around who do wake up early. Fine if you're an early riser, but if you want a sleep in, don't count on it.
Breakfast wasn't amazing. Everything was very dry and overcooked, so wouldn't reccommend the breakfast of it's an optional extra you can choose. There is a Webber on the balcony of the tent which looked clean and in good condition so would recommend buying food from the store and cooking yourself.
Balcony is also very spacious with a good table and lounge on it.
Very relaxing sitting watching the ocean "
