He would stay there forever. :-) We were there in the low season in autum, which is probably the most “boring” time in Lapland. But this house was a unique place despite the gray weather. "Our experience was more than amazing. The place is stunning with a great view to wake up to. We had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to snow equipment. In front of the house was a perfect fire place/tent which we used every night. The sauna room was really useful. The hosts went out of their way with their hospitality, guidance, help and general kindness. They even alerted us when there was a possibility of Auroras which we appreciated. Can’t recommend this place/hosts enough! Thank u!"

We didn't have a car and were able to travel to and from the cottage by bus from Rovaniemi but note that this does mean carrying all your food with you as there are no shops nearby. Well equipped cottage and a fantastic wood burning sauna. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Sipukka. The place is as described, very homely and well equipped for a stay in the quiet, fresh air of Lapland. We took advantage of the saunas combined with dips in the lake, did yoga on the dock, used the boat with an electric engine for picnics on the lake and took strolls in the forests around to look for the many reindeer. They sometimes come for a visit to the property, too. It was super-relaxing and exactly as we hoped it would be."

"Loved the location in the forest of a ski resort in summer. The roof terrace view is panoramic revealing all the fells around Rovaniemi. The nature trails surrounding the hotel are wonderful. The food was excellent. The sauna in our room was outstanding along with the view from the room over the local forest. Would do it again one day though it is a long way from Australia. At the end of fourteen self driving around Finnmark and Sapmi it was an excellent choice on our journey back to Kirkenes. We loved northern Finland. The staff made a worthwhile and enjoyable stay."
