"Compass Retreat was the perfect location for our family weekend! We took our adult children and grandchildren for the weekend and this home had plenty of room for 10 adults and 8 children. The kitchen is a dream space for preparing meals for a crowd! The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with some having bathrooms attached. The children's bunkrooms were a hit for the kids too. The movie screen in the Livingroom made watching vegietales or movies fun for everyone! There was supposed to be a highchair at the home but we could not find one, one quick text and the host ordered one and it arrived within an hour! There are tons of light switches around the main floor, none are labeled, so we could not control ceiling fans and the speakers in the ceiling and some lights...labeling needs to be done. The fireplace in the Livingroom is fantastic! Just be sure there is enough wood available or take your own. We had to search the property, walking through deep snow to find piles of wood, most of which was wet. But for the entire family this was voted on as one we could come back to as a great place to relax and reconnect."

"We had an amazing New Year’s stay! The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and comfortably fit seven families. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Tim was an outstanding host — incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. When we accidentally left a pair of glasses behind, he mailed them back immediately. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would 100% stay here again!"

"We enjoyed our stay here. It was close to wineries. The place was clean and spacious for our group of 8. There were plenty of kitchen supplies and bath towels. Also, plenty of room for us to play games and to all eat together. "

"Our second visit here - beautiful welcoming home. Lovely decor, attention to detail, restful, quiet and a wonderful place to stay. The flowers greeted us as we walked up. Easy check in and plenty of space for each guest. 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and plenty of places to rest. The washer, dryer, stove/oven, microwave and stocked coffee were great. We will return. Thank you for the great home. "

"The house was amazing and I was impressed with how clean it was when I got there. The only two things I noticed that were issues was the front, left burner didnt seem to work properly on the stove (no biggie) and the dryer doesn't work properly. There is heat and it runs but clothes and towels wouldnt dry."

"If you rent the cabins, don’t smoke inside. Bear Cave is beautiful but for that expensive of a trip I better be able to smoke where I want. Even on the front porch is fine."
