“The check-in process was seamless and quick, the room was immaculately clean, and everyone I encountered was friendly and kind. Best of all, the continental breakfast the next morning was amazing. Homemade biscuits and gravy, delicious cinnamon buns, and a nice selection of yogurt and drinks, good coffee too. I was only passing through, but I’ll be sad if I never return to the Lodge at Russell – might make a special trip just for the pleasure”

“The property itself wasn't awful, but it was not clear that there would be outside stairs, lots of them. “Decor is nice. Furniture is newer. Bath linens are higher end. Perfect space for 2, not 4. Nice size bed. Tiny bathroom that wouldn't be claustrophobic if larger than 200 lbs or taller than 6 ft. Super stuffy and hot on arrival (even though they are adamant about leaving the air conditioner at 74- it was over 80 with 1 window unit in living room). Bedroom was miserable in temp, until about 3A. No fans available. Why not? Not sure bed sheets were washed- crumbs that needed to be brushed off.……
