「Friendly helpful staff. We arrived several hours early and were shown to our room as it was ready. On check out, we asked if we could leave our car in the car park while we did a bit more exploring of Stamford, no problem! Lovely breakfast.」

「Extremely friendly receptionist and it’s so nice to be accompanied to your room rather than be left alone . The hotel rooms are quite quirky with antique furnishings and our room had an oriental/ Asian flavour…perhaps some artwork over the bed would have made the room more appealing.The bed and shower were great and extremely hot water so that is a bonus. 「Very clean. Is a parking lot nearby 2 mins opposite church £5.80 for 24hrs. Got email with instructions to enter. You need to get code to open little lock boxes just outside front door. Is a restaurant next door, think same owner. Were friendly if need advice to enter. Might want earplugs Sunday morning as church bells ring, but i like that. Overall great place and very reasonable price. Right downtown too. 」

「Was a big scare when we reached the apartment and found out this was no one there for check in & no instruction sent before our arrival. In this remote location, the mobile connection is bad and I luckily able connected to WiFi in an indian Resturant. Found an old email thread, replied to it and luckily i received a Uk phone number to call for self check in instruction. Felt quite worried at the beginning with my wife and boys and about where we sleep . Not a good experience 」

「The hotel was beautiful, with the add Christmas feel. We stayed for one night, for a visit to Burghley House Christmas Market, it was perfect location. Dinner and breakfast was good, however a little expensive. The room was warm, cost and had all amenities needed. The only complaint, was the bed was a little hard. We would definitely recommend a visit to the Haycock Hotel. 」
