"Beautiful accommodation with all the extras. In a great location, walking distance to the market & lots of places to eat. We would definitely stay here again. The only drawback was the dryer took along time to dry, but the hotel provided a clothes horse which was handy. "

"Fabulous hotel with a wonderful onsen and the best part is the extremely helpful concierge staff! I had questions before we arrived and they emailed with me many times back and forth to give me a lot of helpful information- it really took the stress out of some of our planning before arrival, especially since we were there over the New Year holiday (so many places were closed ). They made some wonderful restaurant recommendations and set up the reservations for us. We also really enjoyed the restaurant in the hotel. Great location, too. Our room had many amenities and a drawer full of items in case you forgot anything. I felt the room was quite spacious for Japanese standards. I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Kyoto. "
"Maybe the best shower I've used anywhere. Breakfast was very reasonable, one hot egg dish plus breads, salad, fruit and yogurt and drinks buffet. Western food in the restaurant, fun music and atmosphere throughout. Beds were comfy, best hotel of our trip."
"Spotless. Decent size for Japan. But you need to move around furniture if you have large suitcases. Book the room with 2 beds if you want more space!"
"Excellent excellent service. When leaving the hotel one of the staff assisted us to wheel our luggage all the way to the train station a back way through shopping centres so we wouldn’t have to go out in the cold and because we weren’t sure where to go. He also helped us onto a special train that had lots of fun carriages instead of the common ones. The rooms are spacious and clean, we had the one with the sauna and it was well worth the extra money! Easy to use and again, very clean. Beds are comfy, spacious bathroom. Big selection of food for the buffet as well. Really recommend this hotel!"
"
One of the most unique and memorable hotels we’ve ever stayed at. You walk around without shoes, which immediately sets a calming, authentic Japanese atmosphere. The onsen was wonderful, and the breakfast was hands down the best we’ve ever had—an incredible variety and beautifully prepared. Most importantly, the staff especially in the dining room, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay truly special. Our kids had a wonderful time. We would absolutely stay here again."
