The staff was helpful and friendly when you could find them. There was broken glass in the front door. The furniture was well worn and showing its age. There were wipe marks on all surfaces but the linens were clean and fresh. Bathroom was freshly painted. Parking lot needed a lot of work.

Very friendly staff, unfortunately there just needs to be a deep cleaning and some updates. The bed in my room was on the floor, and seemed to have a very questionable smell.

Overall this property is very dated and poorly maintained. Bathroom walls had staining, there was a clump of hair in the bath tub upon check in, the pillow cases were extremely wrinkled like they were balled up before being put on. Ice machine out of order, had to wait on front end staff both times we needed them for check in and again when key card wasn’t working. For how run down and crappy this place was in general I consider the price per night very over priced.

I have never had to write a negative review for an accommodation, and it pains me to do so now. However, the property and the service were so sub par that I feel I must warn other travelers. We were scheduled to stay for 4 nights, but then the wedding we were attending was cancelled. They would NOT allow us to change the dates or get any kind of refund, though I purchased insurance. I told them we would only stay the two nights, regardless of having to pay for the 4. When we arrived after a 14-hour drive, the manager called the owner, and he told us that we missed our check-in, so forfeited our entire pre-payment. However, he would allow us to stay those two nights for an additional charge (for two nights). The owner was terribly rude and unkind. We found other accommodations, not through Expedia. This was such a disappointing experience that we are considering cancelling our 20+ years account with Expedia.

Since the sky high sign outside said continental breakfast, we thought maybe we had misread the online information when the receptionist said it was just coffee… Since we are 75 and 77, climbing the stairs with suitcases was unexpected but doable. A note about the absence of an elevator would have been appreciated. I also expected conditioner in the shower as all previous Choice Hotels have included conditioner. It was significantly improved from our previous visit.
