"The breakfast was severely underwhelming, I understand the business might’ve been short staff, but we waited at least 25-30 minutes just for tap water and a latte. Another 15 goes by, I’m already really hungry, the waiter came, the egg Benedict’s (poached egg with avocado), wasn’t worth the value, only one sourdough, wasn’t filling. We also ordered steak, eggs and potatoes. They were seasoned nicely but the steak were very rubbery."

"Mould everywhere, nowhere to hang clothes, only one working plug in the room. Sink blocked. Shower had mould too. Grim little hovel. "

"Clean room but bathroom needs some refurbishment, especially around the toilet. Bed was really comfortable, which was surprising as it looked exactly the same type of bed I slept in at The Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle a few weeks ago which was so uncomfortable I ached all over when I got up. I would have mentioned it to the Receptionist on checking out but I wasn't asked. Staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. We were not happy with first room allocated on the 2nd floor, view made it feel like a prison but was re-allocated a room on the 4th with a lovely view of the canal. Breakfast was OK but not very hot - I hate cold mushrooms! Bar pleasant but not very big. We had a drink on the afternoon but it was too busy for us to enjoy a drink after 10.30pm so we didn't bother."

"Lovely hotel in a great location. The full size pool with spa facilities was lovely and the room was very big and clean with a very comfy sofa and all the amenities you would need such as toaster, microwave, oven, fridge and freezer. The Tv is a smart tv and there is plenty of storage and room. The bed is quite hard and wasn’t the most comfy but it was ok. You have to book a time slot for breakfast and even though we had it included on the Sunday, they were out of timeslots by check in time so it wasn’t available this day. Overall it was a great experience and a lovely hotel in an ideal location."
