“stayed for 1 week bed & breakfast. Checked in OK. Room size OK, but overlooking car-park with main road 50 metres away. Room furnished with freestanding pine double wardrobe accommodating full-sized ironing board, electric iron and hairdryer. space divided into 2, left side fore and aft clothes hanging rail (6 hangers),right side 3 shelves 2 drawers. The wardrobe double doors warped, difficult to open & close making loud squealing noise! the drawers were off their broken runners and operated……

“The room was clean and the balcony to the back overlooking a stream and greenery was beautiful. I just thought it was a tad overpriced at £91 without breakfast or dinner included. That said - it's not too far from the town centre (5 - 10 minute walk), nor the train station (15 min walk or so). The free parking is useful; however, it's one of those horrible put-your-number-plate in. The bar is small for a pub of its size, which doubles up as a reception at certain times, meaning you have to……

“Room was very clean and comfortable bed - staff were upbeat, really friendly and helpful. Parking was great and bar very pleasant atmosphere - enjoyed a good laugh playing Bingo. Good breakfast and evening meal.”

“An enjoyable 1 night stay in busy pub/hotel. Excellent position close to beach and a very reasonably priced bar. Small car park full mostly by beach walkers rather than guests, however street parking close by. We had a wonderful sea-view room. A few cons: building and rooms looking dated and tired, in need of a refresh. Would have made use of a fan as windows can only be opened slightly. A small fridge also to keep drinks cool would have been welcomed. Would stay again for certain.”
