Nice stop over hotel for golf or not

Quick one night at St Mellion, nice room and lovely staff at the reception/restaurant and in the shop. We ate at the brasserie which was great quality food. Comfy beds and a great view of the golf course. We will return

Great room , let down by lukewarm hot water in the shower bath . Lovely pool and sauna area large and spacious and very clean . Poor quality breakfast in quite a small area .

Great facilities for all ages. Nice and well trained staff. As property condition...rooms doors not closing properly,old carpet,stiff and stained mattresses mould or peeling paint patches in bathroom. There are a couple of breakfast/dining options but a bit pricey.

Spa felt a little out dated and felt like a swimming pool. Not a spa retreat, if I paid for a spa retreat I would have been unhappy. Stream room very basic… as an example. Parking not enough space must have been an event on. Staff very friendly food was amazing golf course very good but slow on kernow course and effected game

We stayed in one of the ‘cottages’. In a beautiful, peaceful setting, just a short walk from the main hotel and clubhouse. Well equipped for a short stay. 2 great golf courses on-site and close to several more. Great base for discovering Cornwall.

Excellent hospitality, comfort and luxury. All the staff were friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The rooms had everything you needed, and the beds were very comfortable. All food on offer was delicious, and there was plenty of choice. We have stayed a few times, and will definitely be returning!

Convenient, comfortable stay for Cotehele

Good sized comfortable room. Could be a little cleaner in the bathroom and beginning to look a little tired around the bedrooms. Great swimming pool and spa facilities. Convenient for visiting Cotehele, Crocadon Farm and elsewhere in east Cornwall.

Pleasant hotel but in need to updating. I had the signature Double room, which was fairly basic and quite tired. Small TV, no fridge, no hand rails in the bathroom/shower. Nice balcony overlooking the golf course. Bed was comfortable and desk was useful. Tea and coffee making facilities were poor and when I made coffee the milk curdled, I then realised that the milk sachet was out of date 6 months ago in April 25! The bar was nice and reasonable choice of food for the evening meal. Breakfast was very poor! No ham, cheese, tomato, cottage cheese or cucumber. No fresh Greek or natural yogurt only warm food under warm plates. Staff were very helpful and pleasant in all areas. Hotel is in need of updating.

Welcoming and friendly hotel

Very suited to our needs. The service in the restaurant was very relaxing but efficient. We had rooms looking out over the golf course which was interesting for golfers and non alike. The pool was welcome when the weather wasn't too good. Overall a relaxed and welcoming hotel.
