a very nice hotel, clean and spacious rooms, friendly and helpful personnel. the only inconvenience - no elevator, which might be difficult for some visitors (but I did not mind)

I loved this hotel. It’s not exactly walkable to the historic attractions (though I did walk from the hotel to them), but it’s near a lot of restaurants and shopping. The hotel was clean and the staff was great and the room was huge.

This is a great place to stay at if looking for a short term stay in Samarkand. It is 30 minute walk to “old city” and the famous Registan, free breakfast, and beautiful garden are a nice tough as well. However the best thing about the hotel in my opinion is the helpfulness and friendliness of the hotel staff, especially Murod. He took time out of his day to show me around the city, from seeing the laser show at Registan and also for giving amazing advice on things to see. I would give Platan hotel a 10/10!

Good points: friendly and helpful staff; good shower; decent breakfast with dishes cooked to order available. Bad points: wi-fi signal was rarely able to reach my room (on the 2nd floor); the mattress was very hard; the AC unit is very loud and randomly makes noises throughout the night, even when switched off; monotonous and repetitive "muzak" playing in reception can be heard from the rooms, as early as 8am. The same music is played over and over in the restaurant - either turn it off or put some actual music on!

Platan is has a good quality price ratio. A few things need to be addressed though: the AC in the room is very noisy and needs to be modernized. The receptionist during the night shifts spoke very little English and communication was difficult. There are frequent power outages which are quickly resolved. Overall is a good place, tidy, quiet area and the breakfast is excellent. Every room has a coffee machine with very good coffee. 10 points for the restaurant which is absolutely excellent, delicious fresh food and very good service. I will come back to Platan for sure!

Wonderful hotel with amazing staff

The hotel is located in quiet street not far from main attractions of Samarkand. The rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel restaurant where breakfast is served is authentic and beautiful. The breakfast was very good. The hotel restaurant is very popular with live music. It is recommended to book it in advance if you are going to have dinner there. Finally the staff especially Mr. Murod and Mr. Bexruz are super friendly, professional and helpful.

不満が残るホテルでした。

非常にアクセスが便利で、どのタクシーに乗ってもホテル名を言えばわかる程有名なホテルでした。 歩いて5分程の場所には、コンビニや買い物もする所もあり利便性は良かったです。 隣がトルコ大使館なので夜も静かでした。 しかし部屋の冷房が壊れており殆ど効かず我慢をして利用をしていましたが、それに加えて洋室の天井から水が漏れてきたので部屋を交換をお願いしました。 変更は俊敏に、してくれましたが冷房が最初の部屋より効きが悪く最低温度の17度に設定しても殆どサウナ状態でした。 再度フロントにお願いしようとしましたが次の日にチェックアウトをするので、荷物を片すのも大変なため我慢しましたが大変でした。 ホテルが綺麗なだけに非常にガッカリでした。 部屋の交換の対応は早かったので良かったと思います。

Highly recommended

A quiet and comfortable retreat at the end of each day of hot sightseeing! Clean with very comfy (firm, not hard) beds. The breakfast was fabulous. In fact, their farm-to-table restaurant was so good we found it difficult to eat elsewhere! Everyone was helpful and accommodating.
