“We spent three lovely days at the villa up in the mountains. It was full of rustic charm and very peaceful (the only sounds in the evening were goats and birds!) The building has lots of history and has a pool and an en site convenience store which is really useful. The breakfast was incredible! It was served on the balcony of our room. I’d highly recommend that you have it when you stay! The owner is also very helpful and communicative. I had several questions throughout the stay and always……

“Das Hotel Samaria können wir empfehlen. Die Lage im Hafen von Sfakia ist toll. Das Einchecken ging problemlos und war nach 2 Minuten erledigt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon mit Blick über den Hafen. Das Zimmer hatte alles, was man für einen Urlaub braucht. Kühlschrank und funktionierendes W-Lan seien hier erwähnt. Das Zimmer war sauber und sehr ruhig; kostenlose Parkplätze stehen zur Verfügung (allerdings muss man 5 Minuten laufen. Direkt vorfahren kann man nicht). Sfakia ist nicht groß, man……

“Very comfortable boutique hotel. Very good shower, comfortable bed, nice sheets, pillows and comfortor. No front desk but easy online check-in. Was also upgraded to a suite. Quiet part of harbor area and very quaint. Good price - would stay again.”

The food was exceptional and the dinner buffet very good value head and shoulders above most we have experienced in terms of quality and choice. Very unusual for holiday hotels is the quality of the bedrooms and especially the bed. Excellent in all respects apart from the MUZAK which is played morning noon and night and spoils the wonderful rooftop breakfast experience totally. ”
