We loved our stay at the West Coast Surf Inn. It is an old school motel in the best way. Clean, comfortable, and no nonsense. The bed was genuinely comfortable, the room was well kept, and the shower had great water pressure. They even had great local coffee in the room with the coffee maker, which was a really nice touch. Bonus points for actual Charmin toilet paper, which says more about a place than people realize. It is affordable, honest, and clearly a family-run place by folks who actually care about your stay. And if you are lucky, Harvey will be around and you can pet him. We would absolutely stay here again.

The property is built in 1955, retro and old school. The owners are wonderful and keep everything very clean and tidy. Deluxe room had a chair, coffee table and couch in the separate tv room, a little refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker also. The only problem I had was the shower and toilet were not good for my lower body arthritis. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Walkable to many restaurants, close drive to everything else San Clemente has to offer. Great, welcoming little hotel with fantastic owners!

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming boutique hotel in San Clemente! It truly has everything you could possibly need for a perfect getaway — beautifully designed rooms, a cozy atmosphere, and attention to every last detail. The hosts were incredibly warm and caring, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality went above and beyond, and we are so grateful for the thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Dave es un excelente host, el lugar esta muy limpio, céntrico, camas cómodas, cuenta con mini fridge y cafetera, la tv es un plus ya que me encanta ver tv antes de dormir. Ademas me dieron la oportunidad de hacer check-in temprano y eso para mi fue lo mejor ya que suelo planificar mis viajes entorno al check-in. Cruzando la calle están unas hamburguesas riquísimas y w, ademas de variedad de lugares al rededor para comer y visitar. Ideal si te encanta la playa y gente amable por todas partes. En 5mn llegas a la playa, en freeway 5 esta muy cerca también. Definitivamente volvere a este lugar. No tome fotos del lugar pero aqui dejo de sus alrededores.
