The condition of Room 203 in Ash&9th (San Diego), where I booked Dec 1st to 6th and actually stayed on Dec 1st to 5th, was problematic. Specifically: * The heater did not function properly — it was not warm, made loud noises, and was difficult to turn on. * The drawer slid out by itself unexpectedly, which was frightening. It was then fixed by tightening it shut, making it unusable. These issues made it difficult for me to continue staying in the room, and therefore I had no choice but to check out on the morning of Dec. 5th.

Tha main problems. I was on 4th floor and elevator didn’t Work. There is a man of front Desk very rude I ask for Uber and told my uber he needs to pay to park, Uber explained he came for me, , repeated again get out of here and wrote on pice of paper my uber plates. They were some people on the next room having a party at 3am , they wake up they had loud noises. Need to control , no parties to 1 am or be less loud. Rooms overall were good , clean and in good shape. I have to clean the air conditioner filter it was filthy so , o could work better. Only the externals need more paint and to be clean. It could be a treasure on the area for best value if the fox thosrvdetails they could increase the price to stay there.

Need to fill up with more soup and lotion were less than half, same on shower: body soap, shampoo and conditioner

Don’t judge a book by its cover. The outside is rough but the room was great. Super comfy bed, great shower, staff were so nice!! Some of the room amenities were a little loose (the toilet roll holder was falling off) but honestly it didn’t matter. The location was great. We walked around the area at Night and never felt threatened. I used to live in Downtown Vancouver, so the lower income residents that were on the streets here were friendly in comparison. Fairly quiet, right off the highway so easy to drive everywhere. Go to kind coffee down the street. Amazing coffee, wonderful service. Will definitely stay again.

Simple and clean, the only downside was you have to replace the key card every single day, because it doesnt work everytime we comeback to the room, our room was on 4th floor and its annoying to go up and down just to get a new key card that would work

The exterior of the property and the lobby did not look inviting, however the room I was given was lovely! The lady on the front desk was great & even gave me a better room than I had booked. Everything inside the room had been very recently renovated & the quality of the appliances was excellent. I would definitely stay here again! It was a bargain for the price!

Very disappointed with this stay. While the location is central to downtown SD, that was really the only upside of the stay. The room, on face value, looks okay. However, the AC did nothing to keep the room cool. It was difficult to sleep due to the temp in the room. Moreover, there were several cockroaches in the room #405. The shower is missing a door so all the water just spills out onto the floor. I wasn’t expecting much, but this was disappointing to say the least.

Our first night staying at this hotel, there was a homeless person that screamed for 1.5 hours straight from the hours of 1 am-2:30 am in the hotel parking lot near the elevator. We were unable to connect with anyone at the front desk to report the problem and the next morning were told by staff that no one had complained and also that there is no staff between 2 am-6 am. There was also another homeless person that was walking around the hotel attempting to open guest bedroom doors throughout our stay. The shower drain in our room was clogged so we would have to turn off the shower in between washing and rinsing. Our tv was old and every time it was turned on, the volume would be on the highest setting regardless of what it was left on when previously using the tv. This was particularly a problem, because we could hear other rooms with the same issue and would be woken up at various time throughout the night from the sound of loud television sets in other rooms. Rooms are not cleaned daily and you need to specifically request that service at the front desk each day. Staff, for the most part, were friendly. The whole ambiance of the hotel reminded me more of a hostel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would suggest staying in another part of the city at a different establishment due to safety concerns.

The rooms were perfect! Cleaned well and the beds were comfy. The walls are a bit thin so definitely heard noise from other rooms but as to be expected. The location is phenomenal- easy to walk downtown which I loved. Wish the rooms were internal and not external so anyone could walk up to your door. That l caused some initial concerns but I had no issues. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
