"The front desk receptionist is excellent. The breakfast was excellent and the room was outstanding. I had a CITY view and looked outside my window to see the castle. It was squeaky clean and they offered a full mini bar for free. I had stayed in Naples four days before leaving for a mafia and I wish I had picked this for my longer stay as well as my short one before heading back to the states at the airport. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It’s walkable to all the tourist spots and has good restaurants very close and a supermarket "

"Felt very unsafe at hotel. Had to go thru added security to get into hotel. First impression, not good. Got put in room that did NOT look like pictures on website. Shower so small, back door did not lock securely, was very nervous to close ryes. Was on first level. "

"We stayed as a family of 3 adults. The room itself was a bit on the small size and the fold out bed wasn’t very comfortable. However, the staff were very helpful and the location was great. Very close to the waterfront and some great restaurants nearby. We were in the 1st floor and the windows were surprisingly soundproof. Overall, we were happy with our one night stay. "

"The Grand Hotel is a mediocre, apparently 5*, hotel. I have stayed in 3* hotels which have been much better. In Naples, Parkers Hotel is far superior. The ‘superior’ room whilst reasonably spacious was drab and had no facility for making hot drinks. It was located on the side of the hotel and the balcony overlooked what seemed to be a massive taxi rank. The receptionist said she had upgraded us from a Classic room although we had actually paid for and reserved a Superior room on Expedia. The bathroom was small and cramped with a conventional hose shower in a small cubicle. There was little space to hang towels or anything else. The buffet breakfast was standard for this type of hotel. A few members of staff were helpful. There seemed to be a very close relationship between the taxi drivers and some of the door men who preferred to discuss the fare in Neapolitan. "

"Everything was great. Staff was great. Great location. However, hotel does not have an elevator which makes it hard if you have difficulty walking. But for everyone else, I highly recommend it."

"Excelsior Hotel's historic past and fabulous corner location makes it a wonderful place to enjoy the heart of Naples. The rooms are beautifully renovated, some with a tiny balcony overlooking the bay of Naples, are lovely. The hotel's roof-top bar has my favorite panoramic view of Vesuvius, Sorrento and Capri. A wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing moment after a day of touring."
