This hotel is good for solo travelers, clean space and nice staff but the area around the hotel is not the safest place but if you don’t mind to risk your life a little is a good spot for solo travelers. I think the breakfast is acceptable for the price and the coffee machine is the best.

Room was clean and tidy, had coffee and teas facility’s. Was a good size room but the hotel is very basic and old. Needs to be modernised but as the location is not great, I understand that the cost will not be beneficial. The breakfast was fresh and lovely and the staff were fantastic. Would recommend the hotel for anyone wanting a basic night stay, but be aware that the location is slightly overrun with homeless and streetsleepers. We did not feel unsafe or frightened at any point,

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und künstlerisch eingerichtet. Ich hatte einen tollen Aufenthalt. Das Frühstück war nicht so super, aber es war besser als dafür noch zusätzlich Geld auszugeben. Die Unterkunft liegt aber in einem Stadtteil mit viel Kriminalität und Obdachlosigkeit, daher hört man nachts viel Polizei und Geschrei. Ich als Alleinreisende Frau bin abends nicht zu Fuß in der Nähe herum gelaufen. Mit dem Hotel bin ich aber sehr zufrieden!

Found the perfect spot for Civic Center shows! I took BART in and it was a super easy walk to the hotel. The staff was amazing and my room was clean and cozy. It definitely has that 'vintage' charm and some typical city noise, but that’s part of the vibe. The highlight was definitely the rain shower head in the bathroom! They also have AC in the rooms, which is a rare but nice find for the city. Only downside was the breakfast—it was a bit too basic and lacked variety (only one type of pastry). Still, for the location and service, I’d definitely stay again!

• The staff were wonderful. They spoke to me very kindly and politely, even though my English is poor. • The pull-on shower was very difficult to turn. • The Wi-Fi was unreliable. • The toilet seat was loosely attached. • Part of the room floor was peeling. • Breakfast was simple, consisting of fruit and bread, but it was delicious. • Coffee was free-flowing.

the hotel is good value for money , clean and safe, man on day reception very helpful and gave a late checkout without hesitation. the man on night shift was useless, i asked for an iron, he said, don't know where they are. the hotel has a 24 hrs. coffee station, asked him for a cup, same reply, he was on his mobile phone and made it clear do not interrupt him. same reply

The fact that the hotel didn't provide onsite parking, made all the difference in the world. It rained really hard and when we had to unload/bring our belongings into the hotel, then drive around looking for decent place to park. My husband slept in the vehicle and my daughter and I in the room.
