While not in the prettiest neighborhood, it IS a safe area and within walking distance to bars, restaurants and pretty parks. Had a lovely stay. The proprietor, Eric, was absolutely delightful and helpful. I would recommend this place to my friends.

The guy who let us in was super friendly and helpful with how to use the keys. We felt very safe and welcomed. It is a very walkable neighborhood and close to a strip of bars that offer plenty options of food, so you will never be bored. Amazing place to stay!

The place was excellent. The location was great, with restaurants, shops, and the two main museums I wanted to visit in San José all within easy walking distance. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, and everyone made me feel very welcome. One thing to be aware of is that I paid for the room in cash, which I had not realized beforehand. It worked out perfectly fine, but it is helpful to know in advance. I would absolutely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to friends.
