"Staff was very friendly. Pool was beautiful and clean. The service, bith room service and just askinf for additional towels was very, very slow response. Golf cart rentals from the property were way over priced and the carts are not as nice as many other places"
"Our family of 3 had an amazing week at Ramon’s. Despite being in the heart of town near the airport, the resort was very quiet and it was always easy to find an open hammock or beach chair. The team at the dive shop was very knowledgeable coordinating 3 snorkel trips for us. Highly recommend!"
"The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make all our arrangements successful. We took day trips to town, went diving and snorkeling and took a ferry to Caye Caulker. The staff offers to book dives, arrange the taxi boat, will look up ferry schedules and have a golf cart delivered. The boat captains dropped us off directly at the ferry and dive shop, which was super nice. The resort is far but the boat taxis were key to making our trip enjoyable. Renting a golf cart was easy, the drive to town took 1 hour and was thrilling and hilarious how bumpy the road is. The 2 bedroom suite was amazing, plenty of room to relax, beds were comfortable and showers were hot. The food was pretty good, standing menu with specials that changed each night. Didn’t understand why reservations were needed for breakfast and dinner since meals were included in the package, we did our best to remember but definitely could sense the irritation when we forgot to make them. My only complaint and I hate to mention it, is the sargassum, it was so bad. Depending on which way the wind blew, it would smell up our room with rotting ferment which gave us headaches. Reef Haven’s at a disadvantage since it’s located in a cove, so it collects in masses and doubles daily, it requires early action to avoid the ferment and so much manpower to remove it. Overall, with exception of the smell it was a great experience to explore the island and meet the locals. "
Mahogany Bay Resort & Beach Club, Curio Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were amazing. They made sure everything that I needed was there and great advise on where to go on the islands. I would definitely come back and stay with the family here"
"Grand Caribe Belize:A Solid Stay That Shows Its Age.
Our stay at the Grand Caribe was overall just okay;kind of like an NBA veteran who’s clearly past his prime. There’s still experience and reliability there, but you can’t help noticing the wear and tear. The décor felt dated throughout the property, and there were visible signs of aging that made the resort feel a bit tired. The hot tub was also out of service during our stay, which was a disappointment. That said, being able to use the Sunset Caribe property across the street was a big plus. Sunset Caribe is far more modern, livelier, and honestly where we found ourselves spending much of our time. It highlighted what Grand Caribe is currently missing.
The standout feature at Grand Caribe was easily the three-bedroom unit. It was spacious, well laid out, and fully stocked, making it ideal for our family. Having that much room to spread out added real value to our trip and was arguably the best part of staying here. Onsite restaurants were overpriced for the quality—food was just okay and not particularly memorable. The pool bar had good drinks, though they were expensive, and the food there was pretty meh. We did enjoy the one day of live entertainment at the pool, but outside of that, the pool area felt pretty quiet and lacking energy.
Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. However, there didn’t seem to be any real security controlling access to the property, and there was no beach service at all"
