La Beliza Resort is located 8 miles north of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye's bustling little town. The secluded location is perfect for escaping from the cares of the world and provides a vacation getaway with total relaxation and tranquility. The intimate 17-villa property sits on an undisturbed white sand beach with unobstructed views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea.

Our Veranda Suite is a spacious and elegant two bedroom, two bathroom villa perfect for two couples or a family. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, veranda access and an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and jacuzzi. The second bedroom features a king bed, with a shower/tub combination in the main bathroom. This suite offers a lavish 1550 sq. ft. of living space including a dining area, great room and a fully equipped kitchen. High ceilings and rich mahogany finish adds to the modern design and comfort of the villa, making it perfect vacation home. The expansive veranda provides a stunning panoramic view of the turquoise Caribbean Sea, swaying coconut trees and the world's second largest barrier reef, located less than a mile offshore.

Beautiful Vacation

We loved our stay at La Beliza. However, the location of the property was further than we expected from town. The roads to the resort were in terrible condition which made the trips longer when leaving the resort. The resort itself was very beautiful. The unit we stayed in was also very beautiful. Overall, we had an amazing experience.

Beautiful - needs tlc - great staff

Without the amazing staff, this trip would have been near disastrous. The lack of the on site restaurant and bar as advertised created the surprise need to identify and order food in a foreign country at the end of a full day of travel - nearly impossible. However our driver from the airport knew the chef at a nearby restaurant who took our order and delivered us dinner. (If the property had all the listed and reviewed amenities - restaurant and bar - that helped it win its prior awards and glowing reviews in the last 24 months, this unexpected cash drain could have been anticipated. Also the cart that was ordered but didnt arrive until mid morning the next day, ie island time, also makes finding food at a remote location near impossible.) With an evening storm later in the week, the property showed its age. While not a problem other than the eve of the storm, water was advancing from the patio both above and below the patio doors. The staff did what they could and provided extra towels. It was all dry by the morning. To keep it interesting, that night the hot water also stopped working - zero hot water on a cold, wet, stormy night. The property addressed the issue when we alerted them, but it repeated and appeared as on going maintenance problem - probably a hot water tank that needed replacement. The pull out third bed had a manageable bed frame problem, but also not a good mattress to sleep any longer than one night. The open air patio was used daily and a fixture of the beauty that this property will always retain. The patio furniture showed its age and was nearing need of replacement. The toiletries that were provided were ample for a short trip - we were a longer trip. When we asked for additional it was provided. The exterior even with the absence of the restaurant and bar had a great wading pool and clean and well manicured coastline. The cart that was provided was mechanically challenging and could only be driven by a confident adult. The staff helped us change it out once with the outside vendor, but we didn’t want to continue to do so when the replacement cart was similar if not worse, eg it took 7 min each day to warm up before it could be used. This property clearly has huge potential if the kinks can be worked out, maintenance provided and the restaurant and bar return to complement the great staff here. Without these changes, there are nearby properties at the same and lesser rates that will be selected first.

Gorgeous villa, view and amazing people!

We decided to try out Ambergris Caye for our Christmas/New Year’s holiday. Andre made our stay perfect. From a 6 person taxi waiting for us at the port to paying attention to everything we were so well taken care of! The pool was a perfect size and the water temp was great. Swimming off the dock was ideal and the crystal clear water and also used the kayaks and paddle boards. They had so many options for tours and we chose to do fishing for my husband and son and the girls and I did the Hol Chan snorkel tour with Amigos Del Mar. The unit was so nice and the kitchen had everything we needed. WiFi was always working too! We loved the Truck Stop food trucks and Pur and they were not too far away. Secret Beach was a nice stop too!

Wonderful Vacation for all!

Our family booked a block of rooms: 503, 505, 506, 603 & 606 and every room was exemplary!! Highly recommend this for a family gathering, both large and small!! We had an amazing vacation at La Beliza! Great place to getaway and relax! The condos were beautiful, spacious, and well kept. We often felt like it was our own home, we were so relaxed! We loved having our coffee on the large patios looking out at the ocean and sunrise. Gorgeous views! The staff were all wonderful and so helpful. The concierge even scheduled a massage on our patio for us, no need to go into town! Our fishing outing was simply awesome! They picked us up on the dock and then made lunch for us with our catch: Conch ceviche and snapper tacos! Yum! We planned ahead and stopped at a grocery store before coming up to La Beliza, which I think is a must. I believe you can also order food to be delivered. We made most of our breakfasts and lunches in our condo and then went out for dinners. However, The restaurant onsite was also wonderful for breakfast, lunch or dinner with generous portions and tasty food. We also enjoyed amazing frozen drinks poolside all afternoon! You are able to take a quick trip into town by boat taxi for dinner or by golf cart. We mainly used the golf carts. I was surprised at how many great restaurants there are in town and we are foodies. On the beach we loved Wayos over the water. The Truck stop has a very cool vibe with food trucks, lawn game area, pool, and screens for sports viewing.. Chef's table was our favorite for an elegant dinner out. The chef prepares the whole meal in front of you. Vic's Bar was fun to end the night with karaoke but also has great food. Secret Beach is a must for a day outing by golf cart as well as going on a snorkeling tour! If you are really ambitious take the Mayan tour on the mainland at the start or end of your trip so that you don't have to pay to go back to the mainland mid trip. We plan to do this next time when we return to La Beliza! We can't wait!

OUTSTANDING!!! Must stay at least once!

Excellent view from the spacious units! The property is clean and in a great location right on the beach. Closer to Secret Beach! 5 minute ride to a grocery store that is open until 9pm. The staff are amazing. They will help with pretty much anything you need. The food is DELICIOUS. All you need is a golf cart, a sense of adventure and you are good to go! Plan to stay here for your next vacation!

Refreshing & relaxing...

This was a restful vacation. The property is wonderful! Justin & his staff went above & beyond for great service. From leaving the kitchen open due to a late arrival; to getting us back to the the ferry on departure day. All dinner suggestions & activities suggested by the staff were right on point.. (Thank you Eiden for the Truck Stop selection!💝) The location is a little out of the way ; so if that is what you need, this is your place. Renting the golf cart is definitely the way to go for getting around town. It was our first time & was fun. The property is quiet & peaceful. Great for working on your tan or reading. As for food, all of the restaurant suggestions were good. . The resort has a limited menu so bring your comforts from home ( No Keurig) or definitely take advantage of the island cuisine. Even light cooking is an option. The kitchen is well equipped. . Night life is primarily in town so keep that in mind for your golf cart ride home. The island itself was nice & people are nice & friendly. A nice escape from winter weather...

Great Vacation!

Awesome trip! Flew into Belize City from the states. The flight was a bit long, but it was worth it to get to this tropical wonderland. With a little pre-planning, we saved some hassle. Justin gave us a few pointers on travel and on stocking up on groceries. From BZE we hopped on Tropic Air, and they took us straight to Ambergris Caye. La Beliza Resort has a deal with Tropic Air for that connection. The $150 flight was worth it, as the trip by boat would have taken us a while. The local grocery store had already delivered our groceries to the room (another of Justin's great suggestions) before we arrived. He pointed us to the local Mata Grande Grocery. Look them up and order online. In addition to carrying snacks and drinks, they offered some packages that made it all so easy. With the fridge and pantry stocked, all we had to do was relax with a cold beer. Both of the bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful and very clean. Everything about the condo was great. The fully-equipped kitchen was great. Everything was in its place, and worked. The big veranda just off the master bedroom was perfect for soaking it all in. From the 3rd floor balcony, there's a great view of the pool, and beyond that, a picturesque beach. Justin had mentioned the onsite restaurant and we definitely took advantage of it. No alarm clock needed for breakfast, which was great, because by then I was on island time. We ended up taking Tony up on the daily breakfast - it hit the spot. The cooking was great any time of the day. The onsite staff from guest services was attentive and gave us a feel for everything the island has to offer and helped us plan out a few activities. With the largest barrier reef in the northern hemisphere less than half mile away, snorkeling was something we just had to do. They offered several excursions (not just snorkeling/diving), and they made it all so easy. I have to say that the pictures cannot capture the beauty of this slice of paradise - the turquoise water, the colorful fish and coral, the nurse sharks and rays. It was something I won't soon forget. One of the days, we used our golf cart rental to get to town for some local shopping and experience a little of the culture. We would have loved to do much more. La Beliza Resort turned out to be the perfect choice, and specifically this condo! If I could go back and do something different, I would have booked a longer vacation. Great time! Thanks Justin!

La Beliza, San Pedro, July 2019

My visit to this San Pedro property exceeded all expectations! The personal attention and service were top notch -- from the time of first contact, during the planning stages, upon arrival at La Beliza, throughout my stay, and even after my return home. The property owner (Justin) was responsive and courteous any time I had a question and/or asked for a recommendation for area activities, dining, etc. International travelers will arrive into the Belize City airport and then need to transfer to San Pedro, either by ferry or small airplane. Without a doubt, the flight is the better option giving you breathtaking views of the ocean and coastline below. Upon arrival into San Pedro, you will want to rent a golf cart to move around the island for the duration of your stay. You'll have the option of spending time in the heart of the downtown area, partaking of local food and culture. Conversely, you'll travel north from the city center to reach La Beliza resort. While a little off the beaten path, it's definitely worth the effort to get there. The property is expertly maintained and situated directly on the coast with beach access within steps of your door. Rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable and inviting. You'll find everything you need in the fully equipped kitchen to prepare your own meal if desired. I enjoyed my morning coffee each day from the balcony overlooking the ocean and the infinity pool. A poolside bar gives you the option of ordering a cocktail while enjoying the warm Belizean sunshine. I took full advantage of this as well as the onsite, complimentary kayaks and paddle boards. Food service is available at the resort, allowing you to enjoy the convenience of a delicious meal without having to venture out. La Beliza is a hidden gem that will not disappoint! I will most certainly return to this property upon my next visit to Belize.
