General condition of our bedroom was abysmal. Paint peeling off the wall, lots of stains and holes in the bedsheets and towels (both were clean but covered in stains that obviously couldn't come out). The bathroom was okay - a bit newer and fairly clean. There were a lot of hotels in the area so I'd recommend checking them out instead. We only used this hotel as a stopover to get to the airport more easily in the morning but I wouldn't stay again.
19/1-24/1i stay again at My Dream but I forgotten to take back my hoddie at reception there so I call up they said they found and will keep for me . This time when I went to again they said they lost it .
They found it and they lose it that mean their insider are theft who stolen my hoddie will you again in this hotel?
lighting in the room is too dime
Sound proof is poor, noises from the corridor / outside hotel to be kept low after midnight.
Staff and contractor counting bedsheets wld be good if relocated to another area instead of along the corridor
The hotel is worn, the replaced clean bed sheets still looks dirty, the room smelled really bad, the sink was blocked, they don't do daily cleaning if you stay more than one night. The worst of all was there was no lift. I didn't know there was no lift in this hotel, if I knew I would definitely avoid it because I had 2 senior citizens with me, they had to walk up the stair several times a day. During the last day I had to hand carry all their big luggage down the staircase. I don't think I will ever return to this hotel again.
The hotel corridors smelled really badly. Thete was no soap/towels/paper to wash you hands with in the wc. Lots of restaurants in the area, but everything stank of humidity, fish and suers so one’s appertite was very limited.
All is good for a budget rate. Although the bathroom and toilet are outside its pretty good stay. Surrounding place is still new so nothing much for food choice but still easily reachable.

Nice hotel, easy access to the restaurant/café
The price is quite affordable.. The room is smaller than I expected but still cozy
The hotel was comfortable with basic TV for entertainment. Wifi was working fine as well. The best thing is the location of the hotel which is close to countless restaurants and convenience stores just a few minutes away (walk). We stayed here before heading to Sepilok Orangutan Rehab Center (20 minutes drive away) and it was a good 1 night stay. We went with the superior room and the room and toilet were really nice.
Some issues: The room that we got was on the ground floor and the noise from outside & dogs were a bit loud. Also, the shower drain seemed to have something that looked like a ciggarette butt but I didnt dare to touch or check.
Small room with shower room and toilet which was good - we had upgraded as I had originally thought we had booked a room with a bathroom. The booking was confusing. There was no cold water available and no tea and coffee provided though there was a kettle. The area was out of the way fortunately this was ok for us as we had a day to prepare for a safari. Not somewhere I would stay again. Not much service offered at all.
Great spot for if you have an airport transfer and don't want to go into Sandakan town. Great Chinese restaurants around but it is a new area and not much to do.
We stayed one night after arriving in Sandakan - it is a short drive from the airport. We then moved to a place in Sepilok to stay in a more natural setting. We decided to come back to my dream for two days between our trip to Selingan Island and the Kinabatangan river, just to recharge our batteries and make use of mod cons like internet which were weak to non-existent in Sepilok and Selingan. My Dream's in a fairly newly built area a bit of a distance from the city, but there are plenty of eateries around (mainly serving good value food to locals), cable movie channels in English, nice, bright, modern, clean rooms with big windows and a nice bathroom. Not the place to stay to see the city sights or nature on your doorstep. But to recharge, use the net and sleep off trips into te jungle it's a great place.
