Nestled in the heart of the quaint historic downtown Sandwich, the August House offers convenient walking access to the beach, shops and restaurants. Host a family bar-b-q in the spacious back yard or snuggle in the warm and inviting sun room. With 5 beautifully decorated bedrooms plus a fully furnished carriage house (sleeps 20), 7.5 baths, large kitchen, cedar hot tub and sauna, large family room and parking for 10 cars, the August House is perfect for larger groups seeking a seaside getaway.

The August House
We loved the charm and character of this property. The spaciousness of the common areas, including an expansive family room/dining area, terrace and yard, suited our large group. Plenty of room to gather together, but also quiet spaces to read, puzzle, etc. Close to beaches and restaurants, and other places of interest to explore, we had a wonderful visit - it was difficult to leave.

Family vacation
This is a beautiful historic home filled with character . The yard is perfect for children to play and adults to relax. The location is perfect , being in the historic part of Sandwich and close to several beautiful beaches just a few miles away. There are several extras to the home which made the stay so much easier- beach chairs, toys, yard games… the list goes on . We loved it
