Fabulous Location, Mediocre Condo

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We purposefully chose the E Building as it would be further from the public beach access. This worked perfectly as we were not crowded on the beach. Also, we had the prime parking spot which made carting our beach things much easier. However, the condo itself had a few issues. First, little ants everywhere! I don't know if this is an island issue or if the condo unit needs to be treated more frequently. Second, while the master bed was firm, there was a visual sag in some of the other beds. Third, the middle room floor smelled like urine. And finally, the living furniture is in need of an update. All of that said, the kitchen was adequately stocked with the appropriate cooking pots/pans and utensils and the refrigerator was very high quality. We would absolutely stay at Pointe Santo again; however, we would look around for a cleaner unit.

Nothing’s Perfect

Unfortunately we found someone else's dirty underwear beside the dresser and clothes in the dryer. That was kind of disappointing. All in all it was a lovely condo.

The unit itself was clean and in good shape except for the toilet in the master bath. It was fixed after a call to the property manager. The building itself needed some upkeep.

Pointe Santo Is the Best

We love Point Santo. the beach is far enough west that you're not overwhelmed with the skyline of Ft Meyers. You really feel like your far away. This Condo was great, clean, and well equipped with nice chairs, an umbrella, and unlike a lot of rentals, top-notch kitchen supplies including little things like great, sharp knives, and a coffee grinder. The view is perfect

Simply love Sanibel

We've stayed at P.S. before and love its' location on the island. We especially love the location of this unit e37. Spectacular view and a bit away from the busier center of the complex. It also has the best parking spot! We had a few small issues (garbage disposal, leaky kitchen faucet, faulty GFI outlet, broken beach umbrella) and the management company was terrific. They responded immediately to everything! We're booked again for next year and can't wait to get back. (Some other points for management: kitchen cabinets are in need of re-laminating, a wifi booster as connection is poor, dimmer switch for dining room light fixture - it's too bright, there was no corkscrew so we purchased one, candlesticks for dining on the lanaii, matching lids for storage bowls, need more wine glasses, need more large coffee cups)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely experience staying at E-37 pointe santos. A few repairs are needed, toilet paper holder is coming out of sheet rock. Door stopper is needed in guest bedroom & wall needs repairs. Electric outlet plate needs to be secured in master bedroom. Other than that, we love the newly renovated condo. View and location is spectacular! Perfect for our friends & family visiting

Wonderful location

This was a very nice condo & well equipped. We did have trouble with the TV which would go off frequently. It would have been nice to have salt & pepper & more dish soap supplied. However overall a very nice stay & would book again.

Pointe Santo E37 for 2018 (35 days)

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo has been totally upgraded - tastefully done and a significant improvement. Location is perfect, close to the water and relatively isolated from the rest of the complex. Why we rented again this year and have already reserved 42 days for 2019. One major complaint which is complex vs. condo issue: the barbecues simply don't work e.g. insufficient heat. Property management states this is done for safety reasons; however it has actually has caused more serious problems e.g. residents turning barbecues on hours before required and leaving them unsupervised, some tenants have admitted to using their own, etc. A very common complaint among most renters.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the rental has a nice appeal. Beautiful view with wood shutters. Can see the beach from the living room and master bedroom. Has most of the amenities you need for the beach although the beach closet needs a good cleaning. The size is perfect for a large family and has the best parking spot. If I had to give a few negatives, it is that the bathrooms need updated, the carpeting is looking pretty dingy, and the master bedroom bed is very hard. Overall, it was a great place.

Pointe Santo E37

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at various units at Pointe Santo for over 35 years. This unit's location is perfect, however it's condition is not. The shower in the master bathroom had so much black mildew we didn't even want to set foot in it, plus an old piece of soap on the drain and hair. It was disgusting! When I complained they sent 2 ladies to try to clean who were super nice, and seem disgusted themselves, to clean the unit. The shower looked a little better when they were finished, but nothing could have cleaned that mess other than removing all the caulk and re-caulking. All the sliding glass doors on the screened lanai were covered with handprints, the paint in both bathrooms was splattered with who knows what, the dining room table chair pads were stained with food/blood spots. Also, the kitchen trash wasn't even emptied, the dishwasher full and the microwave had a container of old sausage in it. What a shame that a rental company has let this unit go....we will definitely return to Pointe Santo, but not to this unit.
