We were disappointed. Bath had one light which dimly lit. What 4 star location has plastic glasses in the bathroom. Extra charges for clean pool towels seemed excessive. Staff was friendly. Best part was the nightly entertainment. Violin and piano player was absolutely excellent!!! Location was convenient and their shuttle to Santorini an appreciated service.

Es un hotel muy agradable, con música en vivo diferente en el lobby bar cada noche. La Plaza Tassonesta a 18 min a pie, pero el hotel ofrece traslado cada media hora. Las habitaciones son de buen tamaño y el baño también, pero la regadera es muy pequeña. Es un hotel tradicional, no es moderno, pero las conchas se ven viejas. El desayuno buffet está incluido, muy bien servido. Todo el personal fue siempre muy amable, en recepción, limpieza de habitación, en el restaurante y en los traslados.

The hotel was very nice, but there were some issues. There was some exceptional staff members that went above and beyond; Angelo in the dining room and Carmen and Joseph at reception. Some of the other staff members at the reception were very hard to deal with. The hair dryer in the room kept shorting out and the air conditioning didn't work so well. The pool was very nice as well as the lounge areas.

Our overall stay at hotel Caravel was great - - disappointing factor was that we had a room with no balcony. From our observations of the hotel it looked like we got 1 of maybe 3 rooms in the entire building that didn’t have a balcony which was unfortunate when we were there for 5 nights. We also discovered on our 4th night that there is a 2-level rooftop solarium which I think the hotel should advertise better as the views from the top are fantastic over looking the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The hotel was very clean with very little noise. The pool area was never too crowded which was good for a relaxing day. Sorrento town is a 15/20min walk but the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus to/from Sorrento throughout the day which may be booked in advance. This was a nice surprise as we didn’t realise this was offered prior to arriving. The Sant’Agnello train station is approx 10min walk away also which is good if doing a day trip to Pompeii (30/35mins by train and costs €3/4 one way) Overall a good stay here and would recommend but feel the hotel should promote more of their great offerings online

Excellent sejour

Séjour tres agreable avec belle piscine, rooftop agreable, navette gratuite pour Sorrento. On a aussi apprécié le petit-déjeuner et le diner. Parking sous terrain à proximité avec tarif pour hôtel (18€). Hors ZTL.

Lovely hotel with great restaurant

We stayed as a family of 4 for 5 nights and had a lovely, relaxing stay. Being able to order a La carte in the evening was a great treat. The shuttle bus to Sorrento was helpful. Responsive and kind staff. We had a lovely holiday. Thanks.

Really wanted to give this 3.5 stars but the system won’t let me. Good points: well isolated from traffic noise. Aircon on all the time. Pool and loungers well located and sufficient. Breakfast. Transportation service into Sorrento. Not so good: internal noise insulation poor, i.e. noise from adjacent rooms (particularly toilet flushing). Don’t bother having dinner there as other local restaurants are much better and cheaper.

Very well equipped and clean, nice hotel. Pool, tours, delicious meals, shuttle bus with the professional hotel staff made this a great stay at reasonable prices. Very polite helpful staff made everything smooth. Live entertainment at night too!

Basic property about 20mins walk into Sorrento. Hotel room was dated. Mattress was sloping to one side and the acoustics in the room was awful. We could hear people talking and walking around in the rooms above and next door. You could also hear them using the toilet as if it was in your own room.

A good full service hotel. A good place to setup base in sorrento. The shutle was very convenient to keep you close to town, but allows you to escape the tourists to a quieter part of the area. Room was good enough and although a bit dated, it actually adds to the old world charm of the hotel. The restaurant was great with a rotating dinner menu and the selection of pastries and cakes was impressive. The restaurant staff we're fantastic and really go out of their way to be hospitable.
