The holiday home "Casa Vila Garajau" is located in Caniço and is perfect for an unforgettable holiday with your loved ones. The 124 m² property consists of a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, and can accommodate up to 4 people. Additional amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, a washing machine and a smart TV with streaming services. A baby cot is also available on request and for an extra fee.
The holiday home offers a private outdoor area with a heated pool (heating available upon prior request at least 3 days before arrival and for an extra fee), an open terrace, barbecue and outdoor shower. There is one parking space available on the property. Pets are allowed. Air conditioning is not available. Wi-Fi is suitable for video calls. Upon check-in, a security deposit will be charged as well as the mandatory tourist tax required by law. This property follows recycling rules, with more information available on site. Wonderful stay
The little Villa is very nice. There was enough space for all of us. The kids slept in their room and the masterbedroom was ours.
As one luggage did not get on the plane from Lissabon to Funchal, we were one hour too late at the villa. But the owner was waiting for us, she explained everything about the villa.
The beds are comfortable, we all slept very well.
Mostly, we were eating breakfast at the table outside. Inside at the bar in the kitchen there was not enough space for all of us. We had good coffee, pastel de nata and fresh bread from the bakery, a 5 minutes walk from the villa. The car could be parked outside the villa, there is a parking spot.
The kitchen has all you need. We were happy, that there was a dishwasher and a washing machine.
Nothing to complain, it was a wonderful stay.

Was not as expected
My family and I went to this villa for my children’s spring holiday and it was a disappointing experience. We arrived at the villa at the correct time, but were still made to wait for an hour and a half, because the property manager was late. This would not have been as great of an issue if the manager had communicated with me beforehand about her tardiness. We also tried to contact the VRBO through which the booking was made, but they tried to shrug off their responsibility by saying that they were not responsible. Even after the manager reached, she did not have the keys, and as a result, we were made to wait, with kids, for another 15 minutes. As compensation, we were offered for the swimming pool to be heated free of charge, but even after contacting the manager multiple times, this was not given to us, so would not recommend. Property condition was not very good either, especially with the shower in the bathroom working on and off, and most doorhandles and locks being either broken or completely destroyed.
