This is a very clean and spacious well equipped apartment furnished with good quality items. The owner is very responsive to any questions. The location was perfect for us with everything that we could possibly need close by. The balcony is south facing so has sunshine most of the day, the perfect place to sit and watch the activity around the marina. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely apartment.

Great Apartment

Loved our stay in Funchal! The apartment is clean, well equipped and has a wonderful location overlooking the marina. Check in, check out and service while we were there was also excellent. We were very happy that we chose this apartment!

Lovely Funchal Stay

Very pleased with initial booking procedure and quality of Apartment. Met at Apartment by Petronella who was very pleasant and helpful with recommendations for our stay. Enjoyed watching the Flower Festival parade from our balcony. Location was superb for access to restaurants etc. Would certainly book again.

Wonderful appartment - comfort, views, location

We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is spotless, spacious and well equipped. Having a well provisioned and full kitchen is a bonus. The views over the marina are fabulous and the location is perfect being close to shops, markets and most bus routes. No hesitation in recommending Petronella’s place!

A wonderful place to stay in Funchal, Madeira

Very clean, updated and well furnished apartment in the central downtown area of Funchal, with a fabulous balcony and living room view over the harbor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the month of November and will consider coming back another time. The only thing to be aware of is that this is a busy area that can sometimes be noisy overnight, so light sleepers may have occasional issues unless you wear earplugs.

Prime position

Excellent position for town and bus services. Apartment is spacious and well equipped with great views from all areas. The balcony only has space for two which was enough for us. A visitor book would have been useful for local recommendations.

Wonderful!

The apartment was very clean and spacious. We truly enjoyed the beautiful view. Looking out at all the cruise ships was fantastic. The apartment is in a perfect location. It is walking distance to the city center and shopping. Christmas time in Madeira is magical with all the holiday lights, and decorations during the holidays. Can't wait to return.

The property is as shown in the photos. Apart from the sofa and armchair needing brightening up the apartment was fine with excellent views and handy for the town. There was a great deal of noise from people shouting on the promenade opposite the apartment from 2 am until daylight. This was the only problem we had.

Perfect Location

From deciding to rent to the apartment to leaving at the end of the holiday was so simple. Petronella was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived ... and we were allowed early access which was great. She showed us around the apartment, explained how things worked and sent a video of the route to the bins in the garage. She gave great advice on local shops and eateries. The apartment was far better in reality than in the photos ....so much room, very bright and comfortable. The beds were so comfortable, the bed linen was white and crisp. The view from the balcony was amazing. Overlooking the harbour. We all hope to return! We had a wonderful holiday in the apartment.

Suited our needs perfectly

We couldn't book our usual apartment, and as it was my husband's special birthday, he got to choose an alternative, and this apartment fits the bill, in more ways than one. The location is perfect, as we like to mix eating out and eating "at home". Pingo Doce is our favourite supermarket and really close to the apartment. We like to wake up in the mrning and watch the cruise ships arrive....the apartment gets the morning sun and has a perfect view of the marina. There are many many good restsurants withing a 15 minute walk of the apartment - another brilliant point and one of the reasons why we booked here - we have visited Funchal before and have a few favourite places within easy reach of this place. All the amenties in the apartment are first class, allowing for excellent eating in facilities. We loved staying in the apartment and would be very happy to book here again.

Great location, very nice apartment

We had a great stay at this property, the apartment is well proportioned and has a great view of the harbour area. Nice spacious rooms, great balcony, and very convenient for the centre of Funchal and close to numerous restaurants and bars. Very comfortable beds and lots of storage. A few minor niggles, getting access to the recycling area was very difficult and instructions were not very good. The furnishing are a bit basic in the living room and not so comfy. No welcome pack as promised. Did not manage to contact owner to confirm departure process despite repeated attempts. None of the above would put us off visiting again, however addressing these issues would make our next stay even more enjoyable.

We know Funchal really well because we've been there several times so we specifically picked this apartment for it's excellent location right in the heart of town. We knew the building was very old but was hoping the specific apartment would be good. It was certainly large enough, it had comfortable beds, it has an excellent and interesting view over the harbour etc. However it's cheaply furnished in dated Ikea furniture that is quite tired and could definitely due with updating. Also one of the main reasons we chose this apartment was because it had air conditioning. Our first time in Madeira we learned this was an important requirement because of the heat. Unfortunately while it did have units in each room the cooling part wasn't working (likely required refrigeration fluid) and so we had to leave the windows wide open for some relief, but was still way too hot for me. Also this area can be quite noisy, especially on the weekends, so it was very difficult to have a good nights sleep most nights. We loved the location, but were disappointed with the quality of the apartment. If it was updated and if the air conditioning was repaired then we could definitely recommend this place.

L'appartement correspond exactement au descriptif. Très bien équipé, tres bien situé. Une place dans un garage privatif en sous-sol. Immeuble calme malgré qu'il soit dans le centre-ville. La propriétaire est disponible rapidement en cas de besoin.Bref un très bon séjour

Enjoyed our stay

Lovely bright apartment centrally located overlooking the harbour. Well furnished and supplied with utensils etc. Heating and airco throughout although we didn't need either in January. We would definitely go there again.

Top Lage. Sehr sauber und ordentlich.

Lage und Aussicht top. Zentrum und Hafen praktisch vor der Haustür, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermarkt, Bäcker) ebenso. Leider war kein Stellplatz für den Mietwagen vorhanden, wir haben unser Auto in der TG vom CR7-Hotel für 10€ für 24 Stunden abgestellt. Nachts sollte man geräuschunempfindlich sein (Verkehr, Nachtschwärmer). Geschlossene Fenster bieten hier leider keinen Vorteil gegenüber geöffneten. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, Übernahme und Übergabe insgesamt völlig unkompliziert. Insbesondere Urlaubern ohne Auto können wir das Apartment sehr empfehlen.
