Room was clean and exactly as described. Nice location. Easy beach access and not crowded. Only negative was outdoor area and pool areas constantly smelling like sewer.

Solo trip

I recently took a solo trip to Blue Mountain Beach. It was incredible! I stayed at Gulf Place Cabanas 205. It was the perfect location, and size for just myself. My only comment, which is not related at all to my condo, is be sure to get to the beach very early to “stake your claim,” because the chair/umbrella rental people set up and take up a lot of the limited beach are designated for Gulf Place Cabanas. I would gladly rent the same unit my next trip back!

A few changes needed

The cream chair by the TV was so stained that we never sat on it. The shower liner was ripped and barely hanging and the shower curtain was extremely nasty at the bottom. The two bathroom sinks were ridiculously slow. There was no hot water in either bathroom or the kitchen. The unit was nicely stocked with dishes, cookware and everything you could possibly need. The king size bed was very comfortable. Rules need to be enforced. The was ALOT of drinking going on by the pool even though there were kids everywhere. There were people still at the pool after hours. # 204 had very young people smoking on their balcony and I know it was weed or a THC vape. They also had a dog which I didn't think was allowed. The biggest complaint was about the pond. It had the most disgusting order that would smell up our apt. if we wanted to leave the balcony doors open. When you were in the pool the stink would be so bad that we'd have to leave the pool. I was extremely happy with Ocean Reef except that they didn't handle my complaint about shower liner. I would love to know if other properties in the area.

The title says it, we really enjoyed our stay here. The decor was tastefully done, the kitchen well equipped and the place was spotless. The location was ideal, we walked to breakfast, easily hit the beach (walking with 2 little kids). A fantastic spot

Gulf Place 205 Review

The condo was extremely clean; the bed was very comfortable; decorated really cute and up to date. The kitchen was well stocked and we really enjoyed having deeded beach access right across the street. The dresser drawers in the master bedroom were off track and kept falling out. With all that being said, we will sadly never rent this particular unit again because there is no sound barrier from the flooring upstairs…there was a family with three small kids above us and you could hear every step they took. The kids were running back and forth for hours and at times it sounded like furniture was being dragged across the floor. It was so loud at times it shook the chandelier over the kitchen table. I don’t think it would have done any good to have said anything because you could also hear every step the adults were taking. It is really sad because the unit was so nice otherwise but it was distracting enough to ruin our visit.
