“The room was amazing and so thoughtfully decorated. The pool area was so relaxing. Great area and short walk to town. Also very close beach access. Clara was very helpful with recommendations in the area. 10/10 will be back. ”

“You really can’t underestimate how beautiful the location is. However, the food was almost inedible and the Internet nonexistent. Had to go out looking for food and there’s not many restaurants around The facilities look like they have not really cared for them much but the location is amazing right on the beach The staff did a great job but were limited in their expertise and therefore we couldn’t eat there. Food was pretty bad. The breakfast however, was OK and had a variety of eggs or granola……

“The location of the lodge is really beautifull and the staff is really friendly and helpfull, always tryong to make the extra effort for the guests. You get for what you paid for. It´s not a luxury hotel but a very nice and special lodge in what until very recently was the jungle.”

“You definitely do not want to do a garden view room as you're just looking at a tennis court and a basketball court that have been somewhat abandoned. There are a few amenities in the room, no refrigerator, hair dryer or coffee maker. For hotels at this price, those are some of the things I believe should be included.”

The property itself is beautiful — the grounds are peaceful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and everything feels really well cared for. The staff were outstanding from start to finish: friendly, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent, and being able to borrow bikes to explore the area was such a great touch. “The online 1-star rating is not really justified. Although basic, this place is worth the $55 fee. The Hotels.com experience is to be avoided, they overcharged on the rate. The room was basic, the bed below average, but seeing the many species and number of sea birds in the early morning is a treat. The dirt driveway to the site is a biet of a pain.”

“I first wanna say there was a nice welcome gift, a bottle of champagne and two chill bottles of water and the bed was comfortable. No towel, only a bathmat, no Wi-Fi, although it was advertised, AAA batteries, and only one remote device, so I had to keep switching them until I went and bought another set and brought them home with me.
