Perfect piece of the Algarve

Proper Portugal

Nice original semi detached property in a good location. Although I had difficulty finding the property, one phone call to the owners farther soon put me right. Perfect for my wife and myself for a relaxing week. Our only wish was that we could have done with a umbrella around the pool apart from that, perfect.

Fantastic location

This is our second visit to this villa, Maria who takes care of the property on behalf of the owner is on hand and nothing is too much trouble. It’s in walking distance to Intermarche for groceries, 2 minutes to a restaurant and 10 minutes to a cafe. Patricia is quick to answer any questions, we messaged asking for coasters and an outside ashtray which we found left outside the door within a few hours. The only suggestion I would make is a a basic welcome basket for late night arrivals would be the icing on the cake. The villa is great for our needs and we will be back next year

Traditional property and furnishings, sharing drive/parking with adjoining residential property. Self contained with all amenities. Comfortable bed, excellent shower, clean pool. Needs additional plug sockets in kitchen to save re plugging appliances and perhaps at this price a welcome pack ...bread/wine/cheese etc. ? Residential neighbours (Maria) helpful and friendly with bonus of Minnie the dog. Good restaurant 3 minutes walk up the road. Supermarkets within 5 minutes drive. No local bars.

Lovely relaxing holiday

We loved this property a very quaint Algarve cottage well equipped, the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in on holiday. The pool was very clean and inviting, plus we haven’t been to this part of the Algarve before but we would certainly love to come back.

Great place

We've just arrived back from our stay at this lovely Casa. As others have mentioned, the pictures don't show the true size, it's actually bigger than it looks in them. We've been to quite a few properties over the years and many of them have been through Homeaway (owners direct) I have to say that this is one of the best equipped places we've had the pleasure of staying in, it has everything you need for a holiday to relax and unwind. From the well-equipped kitchen, to the pool, the outside sitting area and lovely lounge with air-con should you feel you need it. We used the Casa as a base to explore this area of the Algarve, it's very convenient for easy access to good roads, we went across to Sagres, which was only an hour and half away - so right over to the Western Algarve very easily. But if you wanted to stay local the town of Saos has a good collection of bars and restaurants and beautiful countryside and beaches are very little distance, but you don't even have to go that far. The two restaurants within walking distance of the Casa were excellent, good value and lovely food. So you could very comfortably just stay at the Casa and ditch the car if you wanted and have everything you need. We received a friendly and warm welcome from Maria and Jose who look after it and showed us where everything was. We also met Patricia who stopped by and she was very friendly and the email communication with her was very easy too. A special mention for Mimi what a delightful dog who belongs to Maria and Jose and helped make this a wonderful break in a lovely corner of Portugal. We don't normally go back to previous places we've stayed at, but we would come back here without hesitation Thank you Patricia

Kleines Haus mit großen Mängeln in der Küche

das Außengelände mit Pool ist sehr schön. Maria (Betreuerin des Hauses vor Ort) ist nett und hilfsbereit. Die Ausstattung im Haus ist einfach, aber ausreichend. Allerdings hätten wir uns Mückennetze gewünscht. Ein großes Manko ist die Küche. Sämtliches Geschirr war schmutzig und in den Schränken roch es stark nach Schimmel. Bei einigen Holzteilen im Schrank war der Schimmel bereits sichtbar. Hier müsste dringend nachgebessert werden.

Séjour d'une semaine en août

Maison très bien équipée (lave-linge, lave-vaisselle,...) Piscine pas chauffée mais vu le temps cela n'a pas posé de problème. Nous pouvions nous y baigner. Très bien pour deux personnes voire 3 personnes. La maison est jouxtée par une autre maison habitée par un couple de personnes âgés qui sont restés très discret et très agréable. Prévoir la voiture pour les courses. Bon séjour dans l'ensemble.

Genau das, was wir suchten

Einfach Super! Alles das, was wir uns vorstellten, traf ein. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten unsere Ruhe. Das Cottage bietet alles angegebene. Wir konnten gut schlafen, der Pool ist zwar klein aber völlig ausreichend. Die gute Seele des Hauses, Maria mit ihrem Hund Mimi, kümmerten sich rührend. Vom Standort ist alles super zu erreichen, ob es Faro oder Tavira ist. In der nahegelegenen Stadt Sao Bras de Aportel gibt es alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Also, Top Unterkunft.

Meahlash rental

The accommodation was adequate. Bed was amazing and so was shower !! The things that were lacking were any information on using micro oven, heating in the bedroom as November nights a bit chilly and cleaning equipment etc . Having said that Maria was brilliant even though no English was spoken !!! My limited Portuguese got us through and Mimi was a welcome guest every morning !! Thanks for a lovely week on a much needed holiday.

A quiet getaway

A quiet rural location where you can relax. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable with a dip in the pool rewarding after a day in the sun. Two good local, walking distance, restaurants which we visited on the majority of the nights. Half an hour to great beaches & not too crowded just out of season. Recommended.

Maison sympa avec piscine

La piscine est très sympa malgré que l'eau soit très froide ... un peu difficile de rentrer dedans. La maison est bien équipée même si elle est un peu sombre. La literie est de qualité. Maria qui habite juste à côté est agréable et serviable. Malheureusement Patricia nous avait donné un mauvais numéro de téléphone et le numéro de la rue n'était pas le bon non plus. Impossible de joindre Patricia à notre arrivée et avons dû chercher plus d'une heure et demie en demandant à toutes les personnes qu'on rencontrait ...

Final de uma procura.

Em Agosto, procuro fugir de multidões. Uma casa para dois ,com piscina, sossego , natureza, é tudo o que precisamos. Uma casa bem apetrechada ,( mais do outras experiências), cumpriu todas as expectativas.
