At the top of the Copan building facing Ipiranga Avenue, the 44m2 studio invites us to float through the São Paulo landscape.
This sensation comes from the tile paving that, after renovation, embraced the interior of the apartment, creating a feeling of an integrated environment with the breeze that stands out from the north facade.
The project draws inspiration from Brazilian modernism and a strong emotional connection to the Copan building. We preserved the original textures and materials, leaving concrete and beams exposed, as well as exposed pipes that reinforce the industrial aesthetic. During the process, we discovered the rainwater harvesting system on the terrace—during downpours, the sound of the water adds an unexpected charm to the studio.
In the bathroom, warm tiles contrast with the gray concrete, with magenta details and a custom-made cobogó (decorative perforated brick wall). From the bathtub or shower, the backdrop is the breathtaking view of São Paulo.
The kitchen, marked by a large concrete countertop, features organic niches inspired by Sesc Pompeia. The bed has a base with space for luggage and uses wooden blocks in the furniture and headboard.
The furniture mixes iconic pieces—such as the Panton Chair and the Oca sofa—with unique creations, like the Tangram bench and the gazebo.
An apartment that breathes architecture, design, and history. Come and see!
We would like to inform you about the restoration process of the tiles that cover the building, which began this year with the aim of preserving our historical heritage. During your stay, the apartment may experience some inconveniences, such as:
Presence of a transparent veil in front of the window;
Possible noise during the day, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.;
Occasional passage of workers with wheelchairs near the window, outside, during business hours, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. In this case, we ask that you temporarily close the curtain for greater privacy. These passages are quick.
