Great location and property, roads not so much

The place was amazing. The views were great and the property was perfect. Many great places to eat in the area and ample kitchen utensils to cook your own meals. The only issue we had, which if you know ahead of time was no big deal but, the city water was on and off during our stay but we worked around it. All and all, it was a great trip.

House in the sky

This is a lovely home. We had a wonderful time. We decided not to rent a car and now wish we had. The drive up to the house is EXTREMLY steep. This is not a walking location. However, with the height you get spectacular views. We ended up using Uber a few times to go out to dinner and grocery shopping. While we all want to save water, the hot water system is not very efficient. The showers have to run for quite some time to get warm., not saving on water much.

Mountain Top Panoramic View

Overall impression: Pros: The property management team were the absolute best. Communication was absolutely spot on from planning dinners and excursions from the beginning of the trip to the end. The drive to the property is definitely rugged but absolutely worth it! The house itself is safe, super clean, spacious, quiet, and has all the amenities that are needed for your stay. The beds are definitely comfortable. There is sufficient air conditioning throughout the entire house as well. The interior and exterior aesthetics match the listing photos for sure. We cooked quite a bit during our stay but also made a point to hit some local restaurants as well. The views from the property are amazing, stunning, and picturesque. The infinity swimming pool is nicely done and is refreshing after a day of exploring beaches and or waterfalls of Costa Rica. Cons: There were not many negative things to say about the property really. Only a couple of things I noticed were that the two guest rooms did have water come in from the sliding glass doors during a thunderstorm. So the bottom of the frames are probably not sealed correctly. Also one of the towel racks in a guest bathroom was loose from the wall. The tankless water heater is on the opposite side of the house of the showers so it took a moment for the water to warm up in the shower. These issues were not a deal breaker for us at all since it was only the wife and I. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will come back again!!!

A super stay in a very special place. The house is in superb condition and very clean and we enjoyed being there. Everything worked well and we enjoyed a bbq on the terrace and time around the pool, especially at sunset.The views are quite sensational and the pool area was a delight once the Management had brought some sun loungers/sun shades up that were missing upon arrival. We enjoyed being up in the Gods, driving down to Potrero and Flamingo for beaches, shopping and restaurants. Flamingo was our favourite beach. The drive up the hill is rough and steep so may not be for some - for us it was a Costa Rican adventure!If I had one minor criticism it was that some parts of the garden were a bit unkept and some garden furniture had seen better days. But most of the issues were quickly dealt with by Special Places with no fuss so a big thank you there.One comment for Special Places - not great form to only allow us to check in at 12 noon rather than 3pm if we paid 169.50!! No one else we have used on Vrbo has ever had an issue if we are early provided the cleaning has been done and the place is ready. Our child had just had to have a Rabies vaccination after being scratched on a beach and all she wanted to do was sleep.With that minor comment I would conclude that this is a place to go and you will never forget!
