"Kinga was the most welcoming of hosts, she is creating a little patch of paradise and the cabana that we stayed in was blissful. Clean, comfortable, and with the most exquisite views to wake up to. Sad we were only there for one night, I could have stayed a month, thank you so much Kinga for your wonderful hospitality xx"

"We loved the location and the hosts. They were helpful and being able to walk down to secret beach was the best.
Its a small room but worked for our small family."

"Our stay at the Dock House was definitely more GLAMPing than camping. We had a great breeze which allowed for us to sleep with the windows open and no mosquito net needed. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have experienced in Belize. (We have been traveling to Belize for years and typically stay in places under $200/night). We had breakfast both mornings and really enjoyed it! Very peaceful 2 days up north. 10/10 recommend!"

"If you’re looking for a resort that curates and customizes to your every need this is the resort for you. The rooms are immaculate, the service is out of this world, by the second day every person knew the names of our party, their drink preferences, food allergies . I never heard the word NO from the staff, whether it be breakfast for dinner, or custom meals, it was only if we have the ingredients we will make it for you.
When my bags did not show up at the airport, the staff went out of their way to pick me up clothing to get me through the interim. My daughter got sick the staff picked up the medication, and made special arrangements to get it to her.
I have been to many five star resorts in Cancun, Dominican, Costa Rica, Cabo San Lucas, and I have never had an experience that was better.
This is not the largest resort, they create intimate unique experiences for each group in a beautiful environment with a passion and love for their guests. I can’t wait to visit again."
"Loved having everything in the room & on the property. From bottle opener & to delicious well prepared meals onsite.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean & well equipped.
The hotel is about 45 minutes away from downtown via golf cart but I planned accordingly and enjoyed onsite and nearby amenities.
Front desk main staffer. I cannot remember his name but he guided and helped on every topic, even prior to arrival! He was the best & I’m sorry I cannot remember his name. He made our stay phenomenal."
"Very relaxing. If you want crazy party vibe not the place for you unless you plan to drive. If you are looking to relax, and occasionally drive, then this place is for you. Great staff, great food, great drinks. Very chill."
"Love the property! Our secod time visiting. The team is excellent and very responsive. Clean room, well maintained and beautiful property, peaceful, quiet, sargassum free, clear and swimmable water, delicious variety of food at a good price."
"Portofino is a beautiful, quaint little resort. We have stayed in their small cabanas a number of times. They are rustic and simple. The resort grounds include a lovely salt water pool, a dock, a small reception area, a small outdoor bar with a beautiful patio under large sea grape trees as well as a restaurant above the reception area that overlooks the gorgeous sea and barrier reef. Overall, it is simply beautiful and relaxing. The frontline staff are phenomenal, truly great and caring human beings. They really make the stay very special.
This July 2026 stay, however, we experienced a few disappointments in comparison to past stays. The restaurant food was not as good overall as we have experienced in the past. Most disappointing in respect to the amenities was the removal of the water taxi as an option for going into San Pedro or to other resorts. We were truly saddened not to have that available given how far Portofino is from the city. The biggest challenge, though, was the lack of available beach front and ocean water. While not a reflection on the resort itself, the large amount of seagassum was disgusting and the smell sickening. Sadly, it extended out past the end of the dock."
