The penthouse is located at the intersection of Jones and Whitaker Streets where you will find the Downtown Design District which offers fabulous boutique shopping and world famous Southern fare such as Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room. The penthouse is also a stroll away from Forsyth Park, a 30-acre lush green space in the heart of town, the park is home to one of Savannah's most photographed sights, the Forsyth Fountain and is also located just a short walk to the famous Savannah River Street.

As a true Southern Belle, the penthouse blends a charming and romantic history with nature and a healthy dose of pampering. All guests are encouraged to get travel insurance, as there are no refunds issued. Travel insurance compensates you for trip costs and money you spend due to unforeseen events before and during your trip. This is especially important during hurricane season and to protect you from any unforeseen event.

PETS, INCLUDING SERVICE ANIMALS:
This is a pet-free property due to allergies. Unfortunately, due to severe, documented allergies within our household, we are unable to accomodate pets or service animals at this property. This is not a preference but a health and safety necessity since we too use this property as our personal vacation home.

AGE & SAFETY POLICY:
Our property is designed and equipped for adult and teen guests. Due to safety considerations - including the stairs, elevated decks, and cleaning products - the home is NOT suitable for infants or children under 13 years of age. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable retreat.

CONSIDERING A SPLIT STAY?:
If you decide you'd like to add on vacation days,...I have a romantic getaway on Tybee Island on a tidal creek with a private dock. The Siren & Seafarer Cottage is a couples retreat and would be fun to enhance your visit to Savannah with a stay on Savannah's beach, Tybee Island.

THINGS TO KNOW:
There are three flights of stairs to get to the penthouse. The initial set of stars is at street level and leads to the front door of the row house. Once you enter the foyer, there is an additional set of stairs to get to the penthouse door. Once you open the penthouse door, you are in the foyer and there is an additional set of stairs to gain full access to Savannah Peach Penthouse. Once you are upstairs, the entire penthouse is on one level.

PARKING:
Parking is free on Jones Street after 5 p.m. on weekdays and also complimentary all day on Saturdays/Sundays and most major holidays. Otherwise, parking is not free and you will see parking meters, which are enforced. There is also a parking deck close to the penthouse. For convenience- you can download the free Savannah Parking app.

HISTORY OF THE PROPERTY:
This is a penthouse in the historic William Remshart Row House (Circa 1853). The row house comprises the four properties between 102 and 111 West Jones Street and was completed in 1853. It is a contributing property of the Savannah Historic District, itself on the National Register of Historic Places. In the mid-19th century, the property was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey as being significant for its representation of mid-19th-century Savannah row houses, particularly due to its high stoops. Mr. William Remshart was a real estate investor and lived in this row house with his 17 children. I can only assume that the penthouse was once two of the children's bedrooms with each room boasting its fireplace to keep warm during the winters in Savannah.
