"The property was incredibly clean and was exactly as described. I communicated multiple times before and during my stay with management and the responses were always very prompt. We needed garbage at one paint during our stay and they were delivered to the door within a few hours. Very impressed. "

"This was a great find for our short trip to the Marquette area. A perfect launching spot for Presque Isle fun like Black Rocks cliff jumping and sunsets all the way over to kayaking at Pictured Rocks. Spacious, clean, with all the amenities of home. Hot tub, lots of games, cool fire pit with smores included, and great coffee bar. Amy was super responsive with our questions. Would definitely recommend North Star!"

"The house was perfect, just as described. The view was amazing, and the lake was literally steps from the front door. The kayaks and hot tub were a big hit and being able to fish from the docks provided something to do for everyone in our group. The host was very responsive and great to work with. "My wife and 4 kids, aged 7-16, stayed for nights. PROS: We loved the location, easy to get to Marquette and other sites. Kids loved the table games. Kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of utensils dishes, etc and things, like a soft-sided cooler we could bring along for picnic lunches at waterfalls. CONS: honestly not much, There are some little things that could be improved, we used the pool table a lot, and while we loved it, it was wobbly. A little more comfy seating in the main room might be nice to watch a movie together. Not sure how often lawn is mowed, but it made our croquet game adventurous! There was stand up video game that did not seem to work (plugged it in and did not see to start). OVERALL, great place, accurately described, and would definitely book again. Check out and Check in super easy and communication was very good. Would recommend for a family a friend gathering!"

"The property is the quintessential lake house on a pristine lake in MIchigan’s Upper Peninsula. It’s decorated nicely, maintained well, and had all the comforts of home, including a “welcome” array of snacks made in MI. The owners left no detail to chance for their guests so we could cook in their well-appointed kitchen, enjoy a class of wine on their perfect lakeside deck, stream some programs, and sleep comfortably. The lake home is an easy, short drive to get groceries or anything you might have forgotten to pack. Friendly and responsive hosts. Highly recommend. "

"This is a small old, nice, inexpensive house in a small town. Only 20 miles from Marquett. 1 block from snowmobile trail. Clean, cozy, decent kitchen. The bathroom and beds a little small, but were fine. Way better than a hotel and small family oriented."

"I booked the house for the Marji Gesick mountain bike race. I had five friends travel with me as a support crew. The house was excellent for our needs. Plenty of beds and 1.5 bathrooms. A well stocked and large kitchen and plenty of living space. Outdoors was a nice grill, screened in house on the lake and a canoe. I caught a pike right off the dock Friday! There was even a garage to store our bikes in overnight. It was a little challenging to find at first but not a big deal. Greqt place for fishing amd central to Marquette and Ishpeming! "
