「If you’re looking to stay in a unique hotel with amazing service, I recommend the Hotel Valley Ho. The hotel is within walking distance (1 or 2 blocks) of Old Town Scottsdale and has a hopping bar/restaurant onsite and poolside drink and food service. The only notable downside was the Signature King room’s extra firm mattress and odd sliding door toilet room that offered little privacy for those using the facilities. I’d stay there again but pay for a room upgrade.」

「The room bathroom condition was very outdated. The shower grout was worn, the shower smelled of sulfur every time we used it (from drain). The room bathroom in particular could use some maintenance and tune up. 」

「Hotel and location were excellent. Two very small problem areas. 1. The elevators were very slow and bumpy. One had problems lining up and opening at each floor. The breakfast was very good but they were very slow restocking. Staff was excellent and very helpful.」

「I would have given 5 stars, except: At time of reservation, which was many weeks in advance, I specifically requested not to be placed on the first floor. I got a “noted” response from Embassy Suites. When I went to check in, guess where our room was going to be? You guessed it, first floor! It was changed, but the person doing it acted like it was a Herculean task. Maybe if my original request had been processed? That being said, props to housekeeping. Our room was clean as a whistle. 「We ran out of toilet paper twice in a 6 night stay. We had to ask for towels as they took towels but didn’t replace them. I have allergies and the pillows and comforter had feathers, I had to ask for different pillows but the bedding I just left. 」
