Visited for a weekend celebration. House was spacious and perfect for visiting with our extended family. Beautiful house w lovely water views

Incredibly Dirty

The home needs better maintenance and better cleaning staff. Upon arrival we ended up rewashing all the sheets and towels. I think some of the beds were not stripped or cleaned. We found an earring in one and an acrylic nail in another. The bath rugs you could see shoe treads from the dirt and lots of hair. We washed those too. The island was sticky & the grill outside had leftover food from prior renters as well as an empty alcohol cans and the empty box. House needs some maintenance - a curtain rod is close to falling off, a leg on kitchen chair was almost broken and had someone sat down it would have broken. The carpets are all dirty. The house itself is pretty & well done. The views are relaxing w the river wrapping around the property, but it’s been by far the dirtiest house I’ve rented & when we arrive and have to wash everything and do some maintenance and cleaning, that’s just not acceptable. The house manager offered to come by however we already had things done.

Very Dirty & Disappointing

This was by far the dirtiest house I’ve ever stayed at. We ended up washing all the sheets and towels upon arrival. Found candy wrappers and an acrylic nail in the beds. Towels all looked dirty. Could see shoe tread marks in the bathroom area carpet. Washed those too. Island was sticky, window sills also very dusty. Smudge marks on glass sliding doors. Outsode grill area had leftover food from prior occupants & beer cans littered in back. Candy wrappers /candy stuck in shag area rugNeeds maintenance. One of curtain rods hanging, one of chairs w leg extremely bent. We notified owners.House manager offered to come clean but by that time we had done it all. We asked for wash clothes as none at property & blow dryer too. Both showed up a day after they were told would arrive. The house is newer and overall nice house w river wrapping around it with provides great views & relaxing atmosphere, but the cleanliness honestly ruined our stay.

Relaxing

the property was nice. The whole stay was relaxing. However, upon arrival, the garbage in the house was not emptied. When we went to put it in the garbage can outside, that was full, too. We contacted the host and she had someone take care of part of the garbage in the can. Later in the week she contacted us and asked if we would mind putting the garbage at the curb. We don't mind this, but it should be put as an expectation in the notebook left in the house. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay and sitting on the dock at night to watch the birds come "home" to roost was a great way to end each day.
