“Room was lovely and cosy, clean and did the job for our two day stay. TV was a bit hit or miss. Only one small mirror in bathroom but no electric socket near the bathroom for drying or straighening hair, mirror in actual bedroom would have been very beneficial.”

“We had an excellent stay in Castle Gate Guest House for a friend's wedding. The hosts were very accommodating. Check in was so easy and the room was fantastic. Highly recommend for a trip to Alnwick.”

“East House is a lovely old property. We had a large room with a great view across farm fields (there were cows!), and the sea, you could also see Dunstanburgh castle in the distance. The host was really welcoming and friendly. Despite what it says in the description the beds are fully made up and there is a good supply of towels in the bathroom so you don’t need to bring sheets etc. nice touches in the room included a kettle, coffee, fresh milk, cereals, biscuits, shampoo, hair conditioner,……

“Lovely place in a great town”

“We enjoyed a fantastic 2 night trip over the bank holiday weekend. This was a lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated throughout, VERY comfortable beds, very clean. Its in a peaceful location (2 minutes from the Chillingham cattle visitor centre). Our host Mhairi couldn't have been more thoughtful or welcoming during our stay. She is also very knowledgeable about the local area having lived there for 20+ years. Shes more than happy to offer some great suggestions. The breakfast that she……
