「Literally the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in…and my expectations are sky high! Place looked and felt brand new. No wall scuffs, no nasty grout, no warn carpet. It was adorable!
Location was great too. Easy parking and just a short walk to the beach and the restaurants in town.」

「We loved our stay in the Blackhouse Cottage, and wished we could have stayed longer. It was gorgeously appointed and well set out. The beds were super comfortable and we were snug and warm in the cold. So cozy and the perfect place to unwind and relax. We would stay here again and again. 」

「While we only stayed one night here, it was the perfect location to get away from the noise of town traffic yet very close to Hokitika and right on the way to the Hokitika Gorge. There were only two of us but perfect spot for family with children or couples travelling together. 」

「Owen (host) took the time to meet us there, show us around and provided us with complimentary cereals, toast, fruit, fresh milk and juice.
Each room was eqipped with a large TV and ensuit bathroom.
Couldn't fault the cleanliness , decor and comfort.
Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

「I thought it was a 3 bedroom or had 3 beds. There were 2 beds and a futon. We ended up using the futon in the living room instead. We didn’t find the indoor trash bin until we were leaving, because it was outside. Other than that, it was very clean and the price was great. 」
