Location was great, near sights we most wanted to see on our one full day in Sedona. Very much liked the ground level room and parking across from it. The door to our room was quite hard to open. We put out the door hanger requesting maid service upon leaving by 8am but none done when we returned around 1pm for aftn rest: Got fresh towels & our trash emptied.

This was a decent place to stay in Sedona to get away from the business of the shopping district. The location was convenient and the rooms were comfortable for our short stay. The property and rooms could use some updating but overall it was a nice stay.

Overall, the stay was decent with a few pros and cons. The room itself was clean, which I really appreciated, but the AC unit was quite noisy and made it a bit hard to relax at times. There were also some insects in the room—looked like the kind that eat mosquitoes—so not the worst, but still noticeable. The location was definitely a highlight. It was very close to Soldier Pass, which made our hike super convenient, and there was a McDonald’s right up the road along with several good restaurant options nearby. Not a perfect stay, but the cleanliness and location helped make up for some of the downsides.

Everything was great. The rooms are well aged but clean. Beds were okay, not the most comfortable but they were fine. The pool/hot tub area was great. The guy who checked us in was wonderful.

Our stay at Sugar Loaf Lodge was exactly what we needed for an overnight stay as a family of 4. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the owner was very personably and helpful! He even took the time to bring us a crib for the baby and give some recommendations on some local hikes and places to eat. The room was very clean!! The pool was not open when we visited, but there was a hot tub. We had a great stay and would stay again.

The lodge is a nice local lodge. I try to support local businesses when traveling. It was an overnight stay. The room was clean, bed comfortable. The coffee was good and they provided a variety of breakfast snacks. So if you want a comfortable place to sleep, shower and go this lodge is as the website describes it. No fuss, no frills.
