“Great place overall”

“to be five-star. The staff were generally unwelcoming and often impolite; hardly anyone smiled, and even the most basic level of service you would expect from a three-star hotel was missing. There is only one restaurant, which they say needs to be booked in advance, making the whole experience unnecessarily complicated for hotel guests. We also felt that local Albanian guests were treated noticeably more warmly than foreign tourists, which left a very unpleasant impression. The facilities are……

“This may be the only time a hotel far exceeded its photos and website. What a beautiful property! And the staff were always kind and helpful, yet without being overbearing and fussy. Special kudos to Frensis and Don (??) at the reception desk. Our room was spotless and offered all the amenities we needed. Other reviews have mentioned small rooms and showers or furniture that should be updated. But we found quite the opposite—a large, sparkling room and bathroom, with clean, spare, modern decor.……

“I love the beach view and the balcony. Nice staff. Very walkable to a lot of restaurants and the beach. And good spread for breakfast buffet. 1 thing I didn’t like: the loud music that kept me up until midnight. I chose Himare because according to my research, it’s quiet and less parties. I guess it wasn’t the case during my stay.”

“Schöne Anlage, in der wir eine Woche verbracht haben. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in den Süden und ins Inland. Frühstück gut, aber etwas eintönig. Personal freundlich, Restaurant verglichen mit anderen Lokalen im Ort nur "ganz gut". Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer, das zu viert eher etwas zu klein war, insbesondere das Bad. Beim nächsten Mal würde ich es wieder buchen, dann reichen allerdings drei Tage.”

“Really lovely hotel in a great spot. I so glad I choose to book here. Fabulous spot, very comfy beds, staff cannot do enough for you and a great addition that there is free use of sun loungers and a spa. I would highly recommend this hotel and definitely choose a sea view room, if possible on a higher floor.”
