False advertising. The hotel online and featured on Expedia is not the hotel you’ll be staying at. That hotel is still under construction. Paid a premium for a special birthday trip for my wife, only to arrive at a hotel that is literally under construction. Spa/sauna (the reason we chose this hotel) nowhere near completed (despite being prominently featured on Expedia). Rooms still being finished. Driveway still being constructed. Industrial fan above our room kept us awake all night. When I complained, I was promised a pass to a nearby spa/sauna. They would email me once I left. They never emailed it. When the hotel is finally constructed, it looks like it will be quite lovely. But what is being offered right now on Expedia is not the hotel you’ll will arrive at.

Why stay anywhere else?

Incredible stay. tranquility abounds, best way to end a trip after a week exploring Iceland. Believe the online reviews when they say this is the best hotel in Iceland. This was our third hotel and by far the most comfortable and indulgent of all.

Fabulous hotel. The property is beautiful, staff super friendly and our dinner delicious. Lovely breakfast included. The hotel has its own hot spring with hot tubs and sauna which we enjoyed despite the less than perfect weather. This is a great place to relax and unwind after a day of seeing the sights.
