House Ingolfsfjall - right in the Golden Circle

For an unforgettable, wonderful stay in Iceland the House Ingolfsfjall is a perfect starting point. It is just 50 minutes by car from Reykjavik, the Golden Circle in close proximity to major attractions such as Gullfoss, the great Geysir, Thingvellir National Park, and more. The place Selfoss offers 15 km from all the shops.
The house Ingolfsfjall has 70 square meters on a 6800 sqm large, natural land overlooking the Tuya Ingolfsfjall. It has a large living, dining area with an open kitchen and a cozy sofa corner. Two bedrooms downstairs, with a 160 cm wide double bed and a 120 cm wide bed and a loft with two single beds, are available. On the ground floor there is also a bathroom with shower, which has direct access to the lying on the terrace Hotpot. On the other side of the house is a small utility room with a washer and dryer. The house is designed for a maximum of 5 persons. A baby bed and a high chair for infants are available. The house may not be smoked and pets are not allowed.

Beautifull place to be

A very nice, cosy and complete house. Everything you need is available. Rich kitchen, good beds, perfect shower and a hotpot. Nice surrounding views and perfect location to explore all of the south and south-west of Iceland. The perfect place to be when you planned a Iceland holiday.

Our stay at this property was unforgettable! Nestled in a beautiful location on the Golden Circle with wide open skies to view the Northern Lights. The house itself was cozy and well-appointed, with modern amenities and a warm atmosphere. We especially loved the hot pot, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit toller Ausstattung und super Lage

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Das Ferienhaus war wirklich sehr schön. Lage sehr ruhig, jedoch nicht zu abgelegen in einem Gebiet mit mehreren Ferienhäusern, welche jedoch alle einen guten Abstand zueinander haben. Alles sehr sauber, Küche mit kompletter Ausstattung. Es fehlte an nichts! Sehr gutes Informationsmaterial in einer übersichtlichen Mappe mit Infos zum Haus wirklich guten Tips zu schönen Orten in der Umgebung. Technik gut erklärt! Vor Anreise ausführliche Reiseinformationen erhalten! Man merkt sofort, das die Besitzer Stefanie und Rainer nicht reine Vermieter sind, sondern den Gästen den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich gestalten möchten, was sich auch in ein einer sehr guten und angenehmen Kommunikation vor und nach unserem Urlaub dargestellt hat. Wir konnten sogar flexibel einen Tag vorher als geplant anreisen, was uns sehr entgegenkam. Wir können eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung für dieses Ferienhaus und deren Vermieter aussprechen. Vielen Dank!

Sehr gemütliches und schönes Haus in toller Lage

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus liegt in sehr ruhiger und schöner Lage und ist voll ausgestattet, es fehlte an nichts. Very nice cottage!

We stayed here for 4 nights in July, two adults and two children (8 and 10). The cottage is located a 30-45 min drive from a lot of cool sites, and 20 mins from Selfoss with shops and cafés. The cottage itself is really nice, clean and well kept, with a very nice hot tub! Would recommend sleeping with the windows closed in the summer though, to keep the gnats/mosquitos out. We learned the hard way the first night 😅

Absolutely gorgeous

Loved to stay in the Cabin! Great Location for the south area. The cabin is very comfortable and have everything you need. We just had a bit of trouble getting the hot water going and the pipes make a lot of noise while you use the shower, but other than that, we loved it here and would love to come back! Zes daagse reis Ijsland

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in dit huis. De ligging is perfect om de hoogtepunten van de Golden cirkel te verkennen en circa een uur rijden vanaf de hoofdstad Reykjavik. We vonden het heel fijn dat het huisje in een heel rustig gebied ligt, perfect om tot rust te komen. Het huis zelf heeft alles wat je nodig hebt: prima keuken en badkamer. Fijne hoekbank waar we na onze drukke dagen heerlijk tot rust konden komen. Het huis heeft een grote veranda waar je heerlijk kunt genieten van het fantastische uitzicht. Het is ook heel fijn dat een hoop dingen in het huis voorradig zijn, zoals vaatwasblokjes, vuilniszakken, handzeep, toiletpapier, wasmiddel, vaatdoekjes, peper en zout, en zo nog meer. Heel fijn dat we dat niet hoefden aan te schaffen, je gebruikt er immers maar weinig van. Ook is het huisje schoon, prima bedden. Als ik een minpunt moet noemen zou ik zeggen dat het huisje vrij gehorig is maar wij waren ‘s avonds zo moe van alle indrukken dat we toch wel sliepen. Om te gaan eten kunnen wij Phrastalunder aanbevelen. En de krater vonden wij heel indrukwekkend en moet je zeker bekijken. We kunnen een verblijf in dit huisje absoluut aanbevelen. Een huurauto is een vereiste.

Selfoss accommodations

The house was located in beautiful setting. We could see mountains around us and caught a beautiful sunset our first evening there. There was a deck that went 3/4 of the way around the house with a hot tub to enjoy after traveling. It was a convenient location to enjoy sightseeing.

Incredible property in stunning country

We absolutely loved our stay at House Ingolfsfjal. The property is bigger than it looks on the photos so plenty of room for 5 adults. The beds are comfy and blackout blinds in the rooms mean it stays dark. Communication with Rainer and Stephanie was excellent and they were so helpful. The house was so well equipped with absolutely everything we needed and excellent instructions on where to find things. The hot pot was glorious after hiking and sightseeing days and the views from inside we wonderful! We were so sad to leave this amazing house and would love to return to Iceland and to this house.

Perfect Iceland Home Base!

I could not wait to come home and review this property. We didn't want to stay right in Reykjavik as we had some tours booked in southern Iceland and wanted to really explore the Golden Circle. This house was the perfect location for all of our adventures. Only 30 minutes north to Thingvellir, a couple hours east brings you to black sand beaches and waterfalls, and less than an hour to Reykjavik and the more popular lagoons. The house was cozy, comfortable, and came with a manual that answered any questions we may have had. The hosts were very responsive and had lots of insight and suggestions about sights to see. Would stay here again and again!

Familienreise in den Golden Circle

Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und sehr ruhig gelegen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich. Man kann von dort aus die meisten Attraktionen den Golden Circle und der Südküste auch im Winter innerhalb einer Autostunde gut erreichen und im Anschluss im privaten Hotpod entspannen.

Awesome location

Our family used this house as a base for several days in order to see the Golden circle and other sights. It was a nice, quiet, peaceful location. The steps to the loft are steep and kids need to be careful.
